World 9-1 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)

World 9-1 is the first level of World 9 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This level is mostly in the sky. This can be unlocked by finding all the Star Coins in World 1.

Layout

Although this stage is unlocked for World 1, the layout is similar to 7-1. There are lots of spinning rectangle platforms around the level. Also appearing is a big L shaped (also spinning) platform. Like all World 9 levels, there is no halfway line, making it difficult to traverse the level. Koopa Paratroopas are the main enemy in this stage.

Star Coins

• Star Coin 1: It's after the first few rotating blocks. The player should see it when they approach three green Paratroopas in the air. The player must either use a Propeller Mushroom or bounce off of the Koopas.
• Star Coin 2: Soon after the first Star Coin, they should see the second one above a yellow block. If they jump from the green one before it while dashing, the player should be able to get it without a Propeller Mushroom.
• Star Coin 3: The player must jump into the third green pipe after the second coin, but they must avoid the Piranha Plant inside. This will take them to an area with a rotating block, the Star Coin, and a Koopa Paratroopa. They must jump off of it to get to the coin.
