The minigame Dungeon Duos has four phases, three are illustrated here. The first part involves the players pulling down the wall for their teammate. The second part involves players rotating the machine with two platforms in order to cross the pit. The third part involves the players navigating through Warp Pipes, trying to find the one that lets players advance to the next room.

The last part of the minigame, teams have to work together to get out of the dungeon.

Dungeon Duos is a 2-v.-2 minigame found in Mario Party 4. A Shy Guy Plate is awarded in the Minigame Room if beaten in at least a minute and thirty seconds.

This rather long minigame starts players off in a dungeon. One player on each team must pull a switch to lower a wall for the other player, then the other player must do the same. After each player has lowered two walls, they will come to a gap with a machine with two platforms. One player must spin a lever near the machine to make it move. The other must jump on a platform to be carried across. Once across, that player must spin a similar lever to help the first player across. After both players are across, they will come to another gap with a similar machine, this time with only one platform. The same process must be repeated with the second machine.

Once the team has crossed both gaps, they will come to a group of five Warp Pipes. Players must jump into each pipe, trying to find the correct one to proceed. If a player jumps in the wrong pipe, he or she will be spit out of another pipe upon jumping in. If a player jumps in the correct pipe, a noise will be heard to indicate this. Once both players are in the correct pipe, the team will come to a group of nine pipes, where the process must be repeated.

The minigame concludes with the inflating a large hot-air balloon. Players must alternate pressing L and R at regular intervals to inflate the balloon. The first team to inflate their balloon wins.
