An End of Level Target.

An End of Level Target is an item found in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. They are found at the end of the level, hence the name, and can sometimes give the Kongs extra bonuses. The target is a pulley mechanism, and if the Kongs jump hard enough on it, they will make a barrel knock the top, giving them a special item. These items include: an Extra Life Balloon, the letter G, a Banana Coin, some bananas, or even a DK Coin.

When Diddy Kong collects the prize in front of Dixie on the End of Level Target, he will start rapping with a stereo, whereas if Dixie Kong collects the prize in front, she will take out an electric guitar and play it.

In Donkey Kong Land 2, they don't feature the pole and a barrel and only feature the target.
