B.wilson, your recent conduct toward other users and the administration is unbecoming of what we expect from users of the wiki, in particular your edit summary [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Gallery%3AMario_Kart_7&action=historysubmit&diff=1162696&oldid=1162642 here], [http://www.mariowiki.com/User_talk:Mario_%26_Luigi#Reply_to_your_inane_and_ridiculous_proposal_vote this section], your comment [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=User_talk%3ALindsay151&action=historysubmit&diff=1163901&oldid=1163301 here], and how you've been conducting yourself on the Proposals page are all unacceptable behaviors around here. Antagonizing people about less-than-proficient language skills is uncalled for. Remember that quite a few users don't speak English as their primary language, and keep in mind that children make up a significant percentage of the userbase. In the other examples listed, you come off as condescending and arrogant, especially when it comes to other users' opinions. It would be in your best interest to show more respect to your fellow users and to be more impartial in your overall editing. Thank you for your consideration and keep contributing. {{User:Mario4Ever/sig}}
:Let me say that I was born as a temperamental, sometimes disproportionately arrogant, person, even sometimes making the ''parents'' of my students quite sad, unfortunately. I am trying to control my temper although this may take years to vanish. I sincerely apologize if I caused you or the community any problems. --{{User:B.wilson/sig}} 06:44, 8 November 2011 (EST)
::Let me also say I disagree with the last comment as it being uncivil. Asking someone to "write in comprehensible English" is definitely <s>nice</s>a friendly reminder, not insulting. --{{User:B.wilson/sig}} 06:45, 8 November 2011 (EST) |

Um...
What exactly was that about...?

- That was a mistake, I'm sorry as it was disproportionately disruptive, this won't happen again. Please don't block me for that, I made a terrible mistake --Bryce Wilson | talk 05:09, 16 October 2011 (EDT)
- I'm not going to block you, just please try to refrain from typing things like that in the future, even if it's on your own talk page.
I can't do that, only Sysops can.

Archiving
Do not archive simply to put a ended discussion/section away. Only archive when your talk page reaches over 32,000KB. Also, please create a visible link to your archive on the current talk page.64Fan (Discussion)
- Why can I not? May I please have a link to the policy regarding this? --Bryce Wilson | talk 09:30, 16 October 2011 (EDT)
- It is a recommendation on nearly all wikis. 64Fan (Discussion)
Re:Vandals
Yes, I realized that; that's one of the things that confirmed them as being sockpuppets. We only block IP addresses directly in extreme situations, and since he's only created one sockpuppet account to vandalize with and hasn't created any more as of yet, I wouldn't say the situation's exactly out of hand at the present time. Don't worry though, if an IP address ever needs to be blocked directly for something along those lines, we'll make sure that it happens.

Sorry
Sorry, I did not create problems. I am French and I communicate sometimes badly so please excuse me. I just wanted to help this wiki ... But I still provided help ... FirstMarioFan 09:39, 25 October 2011 (EDT)
- No problem – if you learned from the mistake, that's great. --Bryce Wilson | talk 09:47, 25 October 2011 (EDT)
I will do my best. My translator is not always good ... Thank you for removing the callback. FirstMarioFan 10:15, 25 October 2011 (EDT)
Generic Info...? (Mario Kart 7)
Okay, I'm trying to figure out here -- in the case of "generic information" (especially in the case of Mario Kart 7), what did you have in mind? It's just that as I said on the respective talk page there that although we're striving to keep important stuff on the articles on this Wiki, we're trying not to look like Wikipedia as well. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 11:00, 26 October 2011 (EDT)
- I mean, right now, I think the article, and many others, are mainly just about the gameplay, and no other information is provided much if at all. I think if we add other information (just not gameplay), such as coverage of it in the news, quotes about it, etc. the article would be more balanced. --Bryce Wilson | talk 19:41, 26 October 2011 (EDT)
This grammar mess.
The reason is but it probably doesn't matter to you,my parents took me out of secondary school due to how frankly crap it was,so i never really learnt grammar but I'm currently in a step up program for collage, and I am learning better grammar now just know that I'm trying my best. Sockpuppet
It IS sockpuppeting. I WILL vote again. PikaSamus (talk)
- I wish I could remove this message, unfortunately it's the rules that do not allow me to. Do NOT message me further about this unless you understand the point of the proposal. --Bryce Wilson | talk 21:14, 29 October 2011 (EDT)

You're welcome! PikaSamus (talk)
Re: Italic conflict....
Why an italic template? is the use of double apostrophe really annoying? As for the Policy Page edit, that depends if the page is protected or not from users. Look at the page's history to see if another user has done an edit there. ¢oincoll€ctor
- It italicizes the titles of pages, similar to a fashion done on many wikis. So the title will be displayed as Mario Kart Wii if I put the template on top of the page. Similar to a fashion like this. --B.wilson talk 21:44, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
Ah, I get it, but not, that's not necessary in this wiki. ¢oincoll€ctor
Basically we don't stick of what Wikipedia makes to its pages an the use of italic on titles like that are unnecessary here because it has no purpose. ¢oincoll€ctor
RE: Hello
Done, thank you for informing me. L151
RE: Regarding this edit...
I'm not from the US myself, I live in England, but that's the format all other proposals on the Wiki use, and it looks a lot more uniformed if they're all the same. Don't worry, it's nothing too big. MrConcreteDonkey 06:07, 3 November 2011 (EDT)
- Okay, understood. Clearly the standards here are very different from other wikis... :-) --Bryce talk contributions 06:15, 3 November 2011 (EDT)

- Okay, first thing: please sign your posts with four ~'s (tlides). Second, don't use external links for images, as they can be easily mistaken for spam; save the image to your computer and upload it to here via Special:Upload. --Bryce talk contributions 10:21, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
Ok, I dont want to get in trouble so im not going to do it again. --NJE 10:23, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
re: your proposal
while I'm not sure about having yet another template for something most readers aren't going to care about, I do think the idea of making the citations more professional has merits and I don't think you should have been so quick to delete it and its assets. who knows - others might have agreed!
re Excuse Me: The edit reason was in reaction to what I perceived to be unnecessary passive-agressivity in the deletion reason and hasty judgement - both of Walkazo (for reducing her genuine concerns as "not wanting to make the wiki more professional) and the rest of the admin team (for judging our attitude toward being professional based on the statements of one person). Admitelly I probably went too far and I apologize for unwaranted rudeness.
anyway, that was my 2 cents. --Glowsquid 22:11, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
- Thanks for your message. The only problem is that Walkazo is like - one of the top contributors here - so when she opposes, everybody else does to. I hastily closed it, mainly because of that. --Bryce talk contributions 22:18, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
- I won't deny there's a strong vote sway going on in the proposals page (a point a former admin tried to make here infact). But from what I've seen, civil and substantial arguments (ie: not ALinkToThePast/NARCE-level of single minded irritability) will more often than not attract voters even if there's one "big" voter on the opposing side. --Glowsquid 22:34, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
