I've beaten the game, and had an absolute blast doing so. And yet, to be honest, if it wasn't for the Power Shots, it shouldn't have been a ''Mario'' game. Almost the entire plot has nothing to do with the Marioverse, and there aren't even much ''Mario'' characters. Everything else is amazing, though. So its still a 5.

I actually got this game ''after'' I got ''[[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]'' (when I finished the sequel and got too obsessed with it) and I must say this game is a really enjoyable one. There's a huge variety of galaxies and powerups, and the [[Comet Observatory]] is MUCH better than [[Starship Mario]]. Another masterpiece
Of course, there are things which this game doesn't do as well as the sequel (it is acceptable, when you consider the release date, of course). The biggest problem is that the game's camera system (not in all galaxies, of course) is sometimes located more ''above'' Mario instead of ''behind'' him, which is a bit annoying at times. I know some folks would obviously disagree, but I found this game a lot harder than its sequel, although even though this is a bit frustrating it doesn't stop it from being fun at all.

I'm still kind of very new to this wiki. I don't have anything else to say about myself except for the fact that I'm a diehard Mario fan.

My Top 5 Best SMG2 Levels

1. Search for the Toad Brigade Captain - Fluffy Bluff Galaxy. Great World 1 level that introduces the Cloud Flower.

2. Throwback Throwdown - Boss Blitz Galaxy. Excellent boss fights that introduces bosses from the previous game. The speed run is a bit annoying, though.

3. Luigi's Purple Coin Chaos - Mario Squared Galaxy. Some people say its hard, but it actually isn't (and is really fun) if you follow the path given by the Cosmic Spirit.

4. Tall Trunk's Big Slide - Tall Trunk Galaxy. Really fun; excellent music!

5. Return of the Whomp King - Throwback Galaxy.

Best World 1 Galaxies
