Thwimps are tiny Thwomps that hops back and forth in large arcs in Super Mario World. Study their moves to run past them unharmed. Just like Thwomps, they cannot be destroyed. They usually appear in groups of two and cause obstacles in small hallways. Thwimps also made a few other appearances in later games, such as Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
