Cut from the Team is a Battle mini-game in Mario Party 8.
Introduction
The four players find themselves on a mountain, with a little stand and ten wires.
Gameplay
This game is almost all luck and little strategy is involved. There are ten wires, of which three are live wires, and seven are dead. The players will go one by one on to the stand, snipping one wire at a time. Once they cut it, they will duck. If nothing happens, they will go back to the end of the line. If the wire is live, they will be shot off from the platform, and the game will continue with the rest. Once three of them are gone, the last one is the winner. The game is almost similar to Bowser's Big Blast from Mario Party 2 and Bowser's Bigger Blast from Mario Party 4, due to the fact that the player had to choose a switch at random to prevent it from blowing up.
Ending
The winner will do his/her victory dance while the screen slowly zooms out.
Trivia
- The minigame is a pun on the song "Cut from the Team (Cute without the E)" by Taking Back Sunday.
