See comments above. Yes, I'm aware of the fact that this would technically be called "'''Princess''' Peach's Castle" since that's Peach's formal name; however, most sources I find in-game or otherwise (''Paper Mario'', the ''Mario & Luigi'' series, the ''New Super Mario Bros.'' manual, ''Super Mario Galaxy'', and ''Super Mario Odyssey'', to name a few) call it "Peach's Castle" '''without''' the "Princess" part appended to Peach's name. It isn't even appended to the castle's name in the ''New Super Mario Bros. Wii'' manual, despite lacking the possessive part of the name that most other mentions have ("Peach Castle"). All in all, I think there's enough overwhelming evidence that "Peach's Castle" is its most common and most recent name, and should be the name of this article. | |||

I believe this page should be moved to "Mushroom Castle," because Super Paper Mario makes it clear that that is the name. Princess Peach's Castle is simply saying that the castle belongs to Peach. Why else would we label "Mario's House" as "Mario's Pad?" Any objections? Klaus Kratchet

Main Picture[edit]
Is it just me, or is it against the importance policy to have a Super Smash Bros. picture as the main picture when there's other ones available? I mean, I'm kinda biased against the SSB series, so maybe that's why I'm saying this... CrystalYoshi 17:36, 23 May 2008 (EDT)
- I was meaning to get to that. Since, per a proposal, we now have separate articles for all Smash Bros. courses, that picture is no longer applicable to this article, regardless of one's opinion of the series. I'd suggest replacing it with a picture from Super Mario Galaxy. Stumpers! 12:37, 24 May 2008 (EDT)
- How about this? [1] Stumpers! 12:41, 24 May 2008 (EDT)
- I don't know, in that one you can't see the castle itself very clearly, and plus there's a lot of distracting stuff around it. Is there anywhere where a picture of it from Super Mario 64 (DS) might be found? CrystalYoshi 11:08, 7 June 2008 (EDT):::
- Well, there is one from Super Mario 64. I'll replace the main picture with it. If anyone disagrees, they an change it. CrystalYoshi 10:42, 1 September 2008 (EDT)

Comic and Television Info[edit]
I'm trying to figure out all the times the castle has appeared. We'll have to go through the Nintendo Comics System with a fine tooth comb, that's a given, but what about the rest? I remember that it appeared in Super Mario Adventures and "Tag Team Trouble." I think it also appeared in, "Recycled Koopa," but I'm not sure how the castle looked from the outside on that show, so someone else would need to confirm that. Anyway, if anyone else remembers where it appeared, let me know! Stumpers! 19:53, 16 November 2008 (EST)
- Just caught the a line where it said the castle's garden was the princess's, so that means it did appear in that episode, and with a very good picture, too! Stumpers! 19:56, 16 November 2008 (EST)

- That seems like a better idea seeing as I was trying to look up the world during my project and got redirected so splitting would be the best idea. (talk) (edits) 21:49, 26 August 2016 (EDT)
- Move made. I think I edited everything that needs to be edited (disambiguation page, template, world, and Peach's Castle). If I missed anything, please let me know. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 03:31, 27 August 2016 (EDT)
Top of Peach's Castle[edit]
Should this have its own article? It's specified as a separate location. It should at least have a section on this article. Ultimate Mr. L (Talk) 13:35, 2 October 2016 (EDT)
Peach's Castle in Super Mario Run's Kingdom Builder Mode[edit]
If anyone had bothered to play Super Mario Run's Kingdom Builder Mode, I think Princess Peach's Castle appears when either you save her or raise the level progression of your Kingdom Builder Mode. --LTIan (talk) 21:13, 29 January 2017 (EST)
About SM64 Castle[edit]
Nintendo of Korea's official SM64DS guide[2] considers Princess Secret Slide and Bowser in the Dark World are in the 2nd floor of the castle. I think we need to change some sections'(first floor, second floor, third floor) name. Geoteve (talk) 04:33, 8 August 2017 (EDT)
- The names of these sections are in accordance with the SM64 Instruction Booklet (page 16). The floor where these levels are accessed is referred to as Balcony.
--PhGuy12 (talk) 12:32, 8 August 2017 (EDT)- The Nintendo Power player's guide refers to the first floor as the "First Floor and Mezzanine", with the mezzanine having the two rooms above. Just throwing that out there :P Since we are an English wiki, we use what the English sources have if they are available, and they are. 12:42, 8 August 2017 (EDT)
the adventures of super mario bros 3[edit]
did they really appear? Please Reply Mario Kart DS Fan (talk)
- Your post is incomprehensible. Be clearer about what you're asking. Who is "they", for instance? If you're referring to the castle, then "they" is probably the wrongest pronoun you could have used. 15:50, 25 November 2017 (EST)
Exact name[edit]
Every mention of the castle that I've seen calls it just "Peach's Castle" without the "Princess" part, so...rename? (T|C) 18:52, April 7, 2019 (EDT)
- I'd say yeah, probably, but if I've learned one thing from editing here occasionally, it's that you guys don't seem to care about the opinions of people without accounts. The fact that IP's can't vote on proposals is stupid, and deserves a change in policy. None of the other wikis do it, and it's really incredibly biased. Blocking out other people's opinions for that kind of reason is just plain stupid. Sorry about my mini-rant, it's not really on topic. Yeah, it should be renamed.

- Oh, whoops, I forgot to put my signature back in after I backspaced it top put in those last two sentences. 72.133.91.93 15:18, April 8, 2019 (EDT)Blueflame105
- I'd say start looking through different games and seeing what it's called and where before we go any farther with this. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 16:50, April 8, 2019 (EDT)
- I remember the NSMBW manual called it "Peach Castle" without any possessive formatting. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:57, April 8, 2019 (EDT)
Rename to just Peach's Castle[edit]
This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal. |
rename 16-0
See comments above. Yes, I'm aware of the fact that this would technically be called "Princess Peach's Castle" since that's Peach's formal name; however, most sources I find in-game or otherwise (Paper Mario, the Mario & Luigi series, the New Super Mario Bros. manual, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Odyssey, to name a few) call it "Peach's Castle" without the "Princess" part appended to Peach's name. It isn't even appended to the castle's name in the New Super Mario Bros. Wii manual, despite lacking the possessive part of the name that most other mentions have ("Peach Castle"). All in all, I think there's enough overwhelming evidence that "Peach's Castle" is its most common and most recent name, and should be the name of this article.

- Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) To be fair on the NSMBW bit, "Princess Peach Castle" would look kinda.....stupid. Anyways, Per all.

Comments[edit]
Additional thing, the "Peach Castle" bit in the manual was said by Peach herself in a letter. Saying "Peach's Castle" in that case would be talking in the third person. Maybe that's the building itself's actual name? :P 🤷♀️ Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:49, April 22, 2019 (EDT)
- I found "Princess Peach's Castle" nowhere, yet. -- FanOfYoshi 03:12, April 24, 2019 (EDT)
- Both "Peach's Castle" and "Princess Peach's Castle" were used in Partners in Time; the former in dialogue and save albums, and the latter on the top screen while going through a time hole. But still, Peach's Castle is a more recent and far more used name than Princess Peach's Castle, even if Princess Peach's Castle is technically more formal, so I do support the rename. -YFJ (talk · edits) 21:20, April 26, 2019 (EDT)
- Ah, so it was an in-game name. -- FanOfYoshi 03:53, April 30, 2019 (EDT)
- The way i can think of to rename without deleting anything, is to merge of the content of this page to the "Peach's Castle" redirect rather than deleting it to make way for move. -- FanOfYoshi 05:31, May 5, 2019 (EDT)

Furigana[edit]
I found a furigana of its Japanese name from offical site of MLBISBJJ, and the furigana of the kanji 「城」 is 「じょう」 (jou). Should I add this furigana with a change of Japanese reading? Blhte(A****** c*****) 08:23, January 16, 2020 (EST)
- The furigana has been in use in-game since at least Super Mario Galaxy, so a reference for it isn't really necessary. LinkTheLefty (talk) 13:09, April 19, 2020 (EDT)
