The user Mecha-Boss Unit has moved several of the articles with the Japanese names to English names that are taken from an official English guide according to him. The problem is, there is no confirmation for the guide's existence. After a [[User_talk:Mecha-Boss_Unit#Wario_Land_4_Enemies|conversation]] with him, he said the guide doesn't have an entry at Amazon anymore because they "just took the entry off." I couldn't find any information on the Internet, which isn't surprising since the guide "sold out in about 6 minutes" according to him. But notably, a name I just made up ("Hammer Warrior") is also the name in said guide. I already talked to Twentytwofiftyseven, and he isn't positive about the guide's existence. With those in particular, however, it is widely believed that ''Wario Land 3'' was released under the same cartridge revision worldwide, so the name wouldn't appear to have been listed in-game. As for why I express reasonable doubt on the existence of the Italian version... I don't want to directly link anywhere this can be exploited, but there's a thing called the [[wikipedia:GoodTools|GoodTools]] that basically serves as a database for video game images (for preservation's sake, of course). Taking a look at that, there's only one verified worldwide release of ''Wario Land 3'' (I don't have a physical European copy so I can confirm this on-hand, but I ''do'' have Japanese and North American cartridges, and I can safely say they're completely identical even down to the default language being English). Something else to point out is that while there's only one known legitimate version, unofficial (and it seems incomplete) translations are listed for Italian and Spanish, which suggests that the version you played a while ago was indeed a hack. On top of that, [https://tcrf.net/Wario_Land_3 The Cutting Room Floor] (which, although being a wiki, we do allow as a reference due to their focus on thorough digging of unused game data and regional differences) does not have any program revisions marked for ''Wario Land 3''. I admire your work poured onto fixing various problems that [[Paper Mario|the article]] has, but I think your partner table needs some reformatting. It's very difficult to read the information because it's too cluttered with too much different cells. I think you should incorporate the "joins in" section to the "info" paragraph, and maybe also merge the move names with the move abilities and action commands. :*Per the first English release guideline, we would have to use the American box art in the infobox, since it was released earlier.
:*When has the Black Sugar Gang been called the Black Sugar Pirates? I only read Black Sugar Gang in the manual, which is a literal translation of the Japanese name (they have always been the Black Sugar Gang in Japanese, not "Brown Sugar Pirates").
:*What is called "transformations" in the article, and also named as such in the articles of those forms (the category is "Wario's Transformations", too), is called "conditions" in the English WL2 manual and "reactions" in both the English WL3 and WL4 manual. It's generally "reactions" in Japanese releases. Maybe the term reactions describes it better, since Wario doesn't really "transform" when his butt burns or when he is crazy/drunk.
:*There is a guideline that characters, items and so on have to be referred to as they were named when the game was released. This might also go for Wario's forms (reactions). Flaming Wario was originally Hot Wario, while Frozen Wario isn't mentioned in the WL2 manual, but was given the name Ice Skatin' Wario in the WL3 manual.
:*We already talked about the Giant Spear Man's role, the speculation still has to be removed. In my opinion, there's actually a bit too much of emphasis for this enemy, e.g. by calling him the "true final boss" or by placing him under "main characters" in the WL2 template. In my opinion, it's just a mini-boss based on a common enemy. We don't even know if it is always the same character or if there are several Giant Spear Men, and I don't see what would make him (or them) a "main character."
:*Why are so many words in the story titles (levels) capitalized even though they aren't spelled this way in the game? I don't know a guideline that would dictate that (e.g. there's [[King Koopa's mother]]).
:*On the English enemy names again: The [http://web.archive.org/web/19980530130404/http://www.nintendo.com/gb/wario_land_ii/index.html American website] mentions bats, sawfish, eels and birds. Everything is uncapitalized, like the "giant snake" and the "giant bee." Do you think those can be seen as the "official" (and extremly generic) names? Of course, only in case of this game, since almost all of its English names are that generic, that doesn't go for other ''Wario Land'' games.
:*For the remaining enemies with conjectural enemies, I will try to find their official Japanese names like I did for ''Wario Land 4'', but not before there is a decision on the previous point.
:*Under Reference to Other Games: I think seeing the yoyo as an ''EarthBound'' reference is a bit too far fetched. I don't think we should include more treasure references than mentioned [http://www.nindb.net/wario-land-2.html here], everything else is too speculative in my opinion. All the other listed games and WL2 are in-house creations by Nintendo, but not ''EarthBound''.

In case of the Japanese dictionary, I haven't found out how I can search for entries related to a specific game (WL3 in this case). Judging from your screenshot submissions for revamping ''[[Paper Mario]]'', it seems like you finished Chapter 5. I don't know where you are now. I also haven't seen any screenshots from you in about a week or so. Anyways, there is a glitch that can only happen during the events of Chapter 7. It's called the [[List of Paper Mario glitches#Herringway Glitch|Herringway Glitch]]. There is one screenshot in particular that has been tagged for bad quality for years it seems ([[:File:HerringwayGlitch.png]]). Judging from your screenshot submissions, you are using Glide64, correct? I'm not entirely sure if that graphics plug-in will render the debug text correctly. My screenshot guide links to a different graphics plug-in called ''angrylion''. When I was playing through ''Paper Mario'' using angrylion, it rendered things correctly when I accidentally triggered the debug text through some emulator faults. To make a long story short, I have a request for you. Can you either give me the Paper Mario save file (''PAPER MARIO.fla'', unless you are using save states) or take a screenshot of the image that needs replacing? I'm currently playing Super Paper Mario and I agree with what you wrote back then that it doesn't come close to The Thousand Year Door, neither gameplay- nor story-wise. Seems to me they eliminated everything I loved about PM2's battle system. But oh well. I was looking for something nice to sink my teeth into that might make me feel like coming home, and since I'm still a sucker for the art style, I decided to give it a try.

Also, I've kinda fallen down the Mario Maker rabbit hole (although rather passively, I must admit, since I don't own a Switch and I'm not planning on getting one) and have been watching lots of DGR_Dave's content since around December. He mostly plays various kinds of SMM2 viewer levels (troll levels, Uno Más levels, uncleared expert levels and the occasional hot garbage), but a few weeks ago he also did a playthrough of a fan-made Banjo-Kazooie troll level/hack.

Italian Translations[edit]

Hello! I noticed a while back that you added some Italian translations to certain articles, such as these three ones. With those in particular, however, it is widely believed that Wario Land 3 was released under the same cartridge revision worldwide, so the name wouldn't appear to have been listed in-game. Therefore, I've come to ask - was that translated from the English version by you personally, or did you use an official source as reference? If so, can you possibly cite it? Hi. You're asking me about an edit there I made more than five years ago, so I don't know what exactly I was thinking back then when I made it. I believe I drew this information directly from an italian version of the game, but whether that version was genuine or a hacked one, I cannot tell anymore because it's been too long. You say what you explained is "widely believed". What does that mean? What is this belief based on? Yeah, I realize it's been a couple of years, which is why I initially deleted those translations altogether; however, Walkazo had the idea to add a {{refneeded}} instead, but I feel we already have enough needed citations building up that it's better to address it rather than let it remain perpetually. As for why I express reasonable doubt on the existence of the Italian version... I don't want to directly link anywhere this can be exploited, but there's a thing called the GoodTools that basically serves as a database for video game images (for preservation's sake, of course). Taking a look at that, there's only one verified worldwide release of Wario Land 3 (I don't have a physical European copy so I can confirm this on-hand, but I do have Japanese and North American cartridges, and I can safely say they're completely identical even down to the default language being English). Something else to point out is that while there's only one known legitimate version, unofficial (and it seems incomplete) translations are listed for Italian and Spanish, which suggests that the version you played a while ago was indeed a hack. On top of that, The Cutting Room Floor (which, although being a wiki, we do allow as a reference due to their focus on thorough digging of unused game data and regional differences) does not have any program revisions marked for Wario Land 3. Well, since I cannot verify the validity of the italian version I played, you have my blessing if you want to remove the information in question. Feedback on your partner table[edit]

I admire your work poured onto fixing various problems that the article has, but I think your partner table needs some reformatting. It's very difficult to read the information because it's too cluttered with too much different cells. I think you should incorporate the "joins in" section to the "info" paragraph, and maybe also merge the move names with the move abilities and action commands. I did some merging to reduce the number of cells, and added a collapse option for the battle information to clean up the table structure somewhat. I am not comfortable with cramming the action command info into one cell with the rest of the move information though. I feel like that should remain separate. I don't know if you were planning on uploading more Paper Mario images. Just thought I give some advice as to save yourself some time. As for screenshots, I do have some recommendations how to achieve the highest quality possible screenshots and you may be able to utilize it rather easily. The page is not set in stone or anything. Ah, ok, sorry for the confusion. The reference to the Paper Mario gallery page was rather useful actually. It completely slipped my mind that that page existed, so thank you for reminding me. Most of the images I am uploading are placeholders and they will need replacing once I'm finished working on the general structure and can move on to detail work. Mostly I want all the table pictures to be uniform by the end. Paper Mario[edit]

Judging from your screenshot submissions for revamping Paper Mario, it seems like you finished Chapter 5. I don't know where you are now. I also haven't seen any screenshots from you in about a week or so. Anyways, there is a glitch that can only happen during the events of Chapter 7. It's called the Herringway Glitch. There is one screenshot in particular that has been tagged for bad quality for years it seems (File:HerringwayGlitch.png). Judging from your screenshot submissions, you are using Glide64, correct? I'm not entirely sure if that graphics plug-in will render the debug text correctly. My screenshot guide links to a different graphics plug-in called angrylion. When I was playing through Paper Mario using angrylion, it rendered things correctly when I accidentally triggered the debug text through some emulator faults. To make a long story short, I have a request for you. Can you either give me the Paper Mario save file (PAPER MARIO.fla, unless you are using save states) or take a screenshot of the image that needs replacing? Hey, how's life for you? Thought I'd reach out b/c I still think about you rather often and wonder how you've been.

I'm currently playing Super Paper Mario and I agree with what you wrote back then that it doesn't come close to The Thousand Year Door, neither gameplay- nor story-wise. Seems to me they eliminated everything I loved about PM2's battle system. But oh well. I was looking for something nice to sink my teeth into that might make me feel like coming home, and since I'm still a sucker for the art style, I decided to give it a try.

Also, I've kinda fallen down the Mario Maker rabbit hole (although rather passively, I must admit, since I don't own a Switch and I'm not planning on getting one) and have been watching lots of DGR_Dave's content since around December. He mostly plays various kinds of SMM2 viewer levels (troll levels, Uno Más levels, uncleared expert levels and the occasional hot garbage), but a few weeks ago he also did a playthrough of a fan-made Banjo-Kazooie troll level/hack.

And I want a Shoe Goomba so bad. Those boots are too dang cute!
