- This article is about Bowser's Castle, the baseball stadium. For Bowser's Castle in general uses, see Bowser's Castle.
Bowser Castle is a stadium of the Super Mario Stadium series, appearing in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers.
Overview[edit]
Bowser Castle is a baseball stadium occurring within the castle itself. It is built atop lava, though the exposed parts are covered with mesh. Podoboos jump out of the lava, burning players on contact and causing the one with the ball to drop it. There is a giant Bowser statue in the center, which becomes a hazard in Mario Super Sluggers from receiving the ability to breathe fire. There are also Thwomps that block the ball. Mario Super Sluggers also includes fireballs that form puddles, burning players on contact, as well as Bob-ombs being thrown around the field by King Bob-omb on the Koopa Clown Car.
Bowser Castle is the last stadium of Challenge mode in Mario Superstar Baseball, where it is unlockable by clearing Challenge mode on Mushroom difficulty.[1] If Bowser is chosen as the starting captain, which can be done after clearing all four difficulties, the last match occurs at Bowser Castle, which one of the other five captains has taken over.[2]
Bowser Castle is the setting of two minigames: Star Dash in Mario Superstar Baseball and Bowser Pinball in Mario Super Sluggers.
