Gamekult.com offers two more screenshots: . I would upload them, but I ask before because they have Gamekult's watermarks: Where is the screenshot uploaded by Paper Jorge from, since this one doesn't have a watermark? --Grandy02 10:54, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
A List of All Enemies!
:Go ahead and upload them, and then if Jorge has versions of those screenshots without a watermark, he can easily update the image file.  On a side note: I see that there will be 2-D sidescroller moments.  Playing as Bowser and the Bros. may be connected as the babies and adults were in the previous title (the actions of one on one screen and the actions of the other on the other screen).  Finally, the map system seems to be updated, and the fat Toads look like they are normal Toads who have contracted an illness and are thus in the hospital.  All speculation at this point, so I won't put it in the article. 14:45, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
::Speculative nature is allowed, says the template. In this case (unlike e.g. guessing Brawl characters was), the speculation has a good basis by comparing the screenshots to Partners in Time. I would add that and state it's speculation. - 15:12, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
:Here's some watermarkless versions: CrossEyed7 15:29, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
Trailer is here! Should answer some questions. - 16:42, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
::From what I can see in the screenshots, it appears they are using a slightly different style of sprites in the game. Should this be noted in the article, or not until we have proof? 16:56, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Info
On a capture site containing guides for games, I peaked into their Mario & Luigi RPG 3 section to see what I could find and bring to this Wiki. Look at this, a whole list of every enemy, it appears!
So far I researched the game and found info. In the Video on part showed Bowser eating a Magic shroom that gave him the ability to suck air. (kinda of Kirby.) Thus this cause him to go to Peach's castle Punch a counter and fight Mario. After there little fight Bowser suck up Peach, Mario, Luigi and Toadworth (I think).
Another part shows Ship (Maybe U.F.O know if there are Shroob.) attacking Bowser's Castle. Also featured in the video showed a Green Toad (Look much like the one in Super Mario RPG Lengend of the Seven Star that watch over Peach.) affacted by some illness. There also so a part when the player is in Bowser's body. (And i not sure but I think they're can control Bowser and Mario and Luigi at that point. SO far the plot is unknow and as well as the villan and that illness that affected the Toads. Lastly I heard rumor that the game works only on the Nintendo DSi but it hasn't been reveal yet so this it could false and maybe the game can work on an old DS. Well so that all I got. (Sorry for the messy paragraphy.) Oh and Toadette was spotted in the game unless it was Toadiko or some thing like that. And Fawful is rumored too.
:I watched the video, and it does appear that way. It would be a huge change in the RPG scene for Mario if somehow the main antagonist created a virus that affected the Mushroom Kingdom. (Perhaps a more serious RPG than usual?) Also, I don't think that the game will work only for the DSi. GameStop (and Cobold) told me that it's the same thing as the DS Lite, only without the GBA slot. 17:12, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Look at the top of the Touch Screen and you will see walls who look like Shroobs.

It would be if someone could translate it.

Sorry 'bout (I watch the video too.) Hmmm a main new (or old) antagonist started a illness. (Ooooppps I guess my info is waaayyyy off oh well.) I get wonder why Mario or Peach or even Luigi didn't get affected. (Maybe cause there humans.) Yeah about the Dsi it just like the DS lite but it contains added new features.
Yeah, YourBuddyBill, we need official English names for these enemies, it's getting annoying to me!

Some characters I saw in the video:
Ahem- Cough - Blehem- See here - cough cough- I've almost done it all - cough - ACK! - Yes.
*Toadbert
Hyper Guy
*Toadsworth
*Toadiko
*Kemek (or a normal Magikoopa)
*A yellow Bob-omb
This game works also on the normal DS.
It looks like the game uses again a overworld unlike M&L2.

Oooopsss I thought I saw Toadette. So they return. (But there rolles are unknow.) Do you know if Fawful is in the game?
Official NA Name
I don't know if it realy is Toadiko, but I think it's more likely for her to appear in this game than Toadette. Toadiko appeart in M&L2 so she might return. I remember Fawfull said in M&L2 he will do something in the future. Some enemies look like him. It's likely he's in the game.
we also need the REAL official English title for the game. we neeed theem! AARRRGGGHHHH! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!  YYYYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! (Just kidding)
*Also Bros. Items return, not Bros. attacks from M&L1
*There is also a meter in the under-right of the touchscreen (in Battle). You can do somthing when it is full, but it's unknown what.

:) Thanks.  Yeah I saw that too. It maybe used for a power boost or special attack. So far these Bros item have been sinc in the video. Green Shell and the Fire Flower. Bowser has his own but the only one shown is the one when he throw goomba up in the air then they fall and hit the enemies.:) Thanks.
Notice the additional command in the battle mode. There's Jumping, Hammer, Item, Bros. Item, Running away and a sixth command in the back, which looks similar to the meter on the bottom of the touchscreen. - 17:43, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Those action command block look like the one in M&L SS.
It's possible that April 1st is not the real release date , weeks before the Japanese version of the game, they already came up with the name and box art. tomorrow is April 1st, and still no title or boxart!! except those "fake" titles, but it is possible that either one (or both) of them  is/are the official title(s). But still.
:I thought they look totally different to what we've seen before. I might be wrong, it's been a long time since I played the game. But Mario & Luigi's sprites are definitely new. - 17:53, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

The sixth command in the back can be used if the meter in the under-right of the touchscreen is full. I think it's a (strong) move done by both Mario and Luigi.
::Perhaps a quicker way to access the Bros. moves too? 18:07, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Or maybe it an Exp thing. (Uhh nevermind.) Or maybe a the return of the bros moves.
:Mario has a Mushroom on that bar, and Luigi has either a Freezy or a Lakitu cloud...maybe elements return in this game? 19:54, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Now when using a fire flower, Mario and Luigi gain their Fire Flower Suits. (the white overalls and hat etc....) Now that was a NEEDED upgrade. [[Image:Hammer Bro. :Revision: Mario has a Mushroom Bros. Move. I'm definitely leaning towards a charged-up Bros. Move system now instead of the Bros. Points. 20:17, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
I don't know if it's internet lies or that is really the English title. We still need to wait.

Hey that rude!! Please keep your rude comments to yourself. Ambidextria
the meaning of Q2 2009
Actually, I zoomed in really close, and although it was really blurry, it looked more like prince peasely. Fawful has sort of a hooded robe, while the person seems to have a cape. However, the thing he is riding looks like something fawful would ride. So, either Peasley got a new vehicle, or Fawful changed his hood. Maybe it is not either of them?.
what does "Q2 2009" mean?

:It means "second quarter of 2009" (which is the period from April to June). 02:03, 16 April 2009 (EDT)

That mushroom and moon icon power has been revealed!!  See here. when those two icons combined, Luigi startes to eat a whole bunch of sweets and get fat. Then Mario throws Luigi.
So that means that the game is upon us correct or is this another bogus date? --Count b 08:31, 16 April 2009 (EDT)Count b

UFOs
:Where is there proof that Q2 is when nintendo plans to release the game?  -- User:MapleTree46 14:56 MapleTree Productions

I see the trailer again in the best quality: the UFOs are green UFOs with yellow spots. I think Fawful is bakc, HAVING MORE FURYYYY that before. Koopalmier
the proof is on neoseeker. you will see the source at the bottom of the page. Luigi456

Yup that is Fawful, but what is that star thing? Ninja Toad5

Koopalmier, are you pretending to be me? Anyway, I don't think it's just Fawful, maybe it's Fawful with the Shroobs helping him. --Nerdy Guy
Well, how did neoseeker find that info? That's only what people think it's going to be but it may be false. Lets just hope for a June release. Fawfulfury65

Uhh the Shroobs lost basically all there power after Mario and Luigi delt with them (No more Princess Shroob or Elder Princess Shroob). Its more likely that Fawful has made a new army of his own deadly creatures. The UFOs are probably his creations (He is a genius with his inventions eg: Headgear and his mysterious Machine in his final battle). But it is possible that Fawful and the Shroobs have teamed up togeher to get their revenge. Don't rule any ideas out till the games release ;)
Me is helpful
I'm halfway through the ROM of Mario & Luigi RPG 3!!!
If anybody wants me to, I'll rip sprites of EVERY SINGLE ENEMY and put them onto one sheet, so we can have a graph of some sort displaying enemy stats and stuff.
Who wants me to get ripping? Hyper Guy

Hmm I thought all the Shroobs where killed by E Gadd's machine which had chemical that are like baby's tears and that there weakness.
Um, an infobox would consume much less data, and load faster. AFAIK, nobody's actually ripped the stats from the game yet anyway. If you want to add separate images of each enemy to the appropriate articles, that'd probably be much more helpful. 15:12, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

There are a goomba and a koopa and a Hammerbro popping out of the UFO's Ninja Toad5
You say nobody's ripped the stats, but does that make me a nobody? I know almost all the enemy stats at the moment. Here's a couple.I'll try to help with stats as much as possible because I love stats me.

No, the Koopas are popping out of the castle, not of the UFOs.

Japanese Text
Shroob Senji: 300 HP

Maybe it would reveal something if we knew the meaning of these text boxes/bubbles?<br />
Hyper Guy
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/8981/japanesevc2.png<br />
The first one reads "Kinoko Town", the Japanese name of Toad Town. But what about the other texts? Could someone translate it? --Grandy02 08:26, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
:I'll just translate it here as a response to your comment on my talk page, if you don't mind. First of all, the text at the top left does say "Kinoko Town". The blue box reads "The Lucky Mushroom? has been earned!" which is probably implying that the mushroom isn't actually the lucky mushroom, seeing from its color. Bowser is screaming "NUGAHHHHH" which really doesn't mean anything. The huge taod on the right half is saying "Mr. Mario... Please help us." I hope that helped somewhat.
::There's also some text on the bottom screen that says "キノピオひろば" at around 00:24 on the trailer. I think that means something along the lines of "Toad Plaza," but it's pretty blurry, so I don't know.  It might be "キノピオひろは" or "キノピオひろぱ," too.  Those last two don't mean anything that I know of. 11:14, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
:::Hmm, the three of those say "Kinopio Hiruba", "Kinopio Hiruha (or maybe Hiruwa)", and "Kinopio Hirupa". Man, I wish I could translate more than a handful of Japanese words.

Here's rough translations of what those mean:
Actually, I said "As far as I know, nobody's ripped the stats." ;) Anyway, how did you get those? 17:04, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

*キノピオひろば = List of Mario series characters corner
Riiiiight. Yeah, I'm so desperate to know the stats, every damage I do I add up until the enemy is beat, and I substract any numbers that seem unlikely, as boss HP normally ends in a zero, so a Shroob Senji's HP can't be 302, but most likely 300. It's harder with normal enemies.
*キノピオひろは = List of Mario series characters to fathom
Hyper Guy
*キノピオひろぱ = List of Mario series characters sect mindedness

It's odd...to me, those three character groups look exactly the same. =| 12:10, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
Oh, ok. That sounds good. With the HP, I can determine all the other stats from datamining. Which would also be enough, I'd think, to get rid of any error... 12:10, 18 April 2009 (EDT)

To Kodomo no Jikan:This might help you.  It has a confusing interface, but once you get used to it, it helps a lot.  Assuming you can actually figure out where the word boundaries are.
So should I wait untill the official English enemy names and THEN make the articles and put the sprites and stuff on? Because I'm ripping them as we speak.Hyper Guy

To Stooben Rooben: Your translations seem really bizarre to me. What is "List of Mario series characters" about?  Also, the difference between the three is in the last character. The top and bottom ones have the diacritics "dakuten" and "handakuten" respectively, which alter the pronunciation and meaning.
Eh, it won't be hard to rename them later. Go ahead and start. 12:53, 19 April 2009 (EDT)

http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n159/YYXJKQJ/kinopiohiroba.png <br />This is the actual text. As you can see, it's quite blurry.  I'm fairly sure that the second-to-last character is really "ろ" not "る," though. On the other hand, it could be "う" XD. I would like the Japanese language a lot more if fewer of its characters were so similar looking to others.  12:45, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
You can try spriters resource for the sprites . I've see some M&L RPG 3 sprites there.
:Yeah, after looking at it, it looks more like the "ro" character than the "ru" character.

Alright, I asked a friend of mine from Japan what "ひろば" means, and she says it means field. So it's "Toad Fields," which really fits pretty well. 20:43, 6 October 2008 (EDT)
Oh yeah. Looks like I don't have to worry anymore! But they don't have any MetaBoss sprites... So I'll do that myself. Hyper Guy

Kinopio Fields? It might be an area out side of Toad Town then.

:It says "KINOPIO HIROBA". Trust me. It means something like "Toad Plaza" or "Toad Place". I speak and write Japanese fluently, and yes, it would make no sense if it was Hiropa or Hirupa or Hiruba or ARRIVA! (jklol).

I have a crazy idea..... it probrably isnt right. Perhaps this area is really far into the game. Fawful may appear as the main villain in the beginning, but later on, their may be a bigger evil? Someone traducted this: the first "chapter" of the game will be inside Bowser, the Mario bros. will be playable only when Bowser drinks water (when they are inside his body, obviousely), the Bros. Attacks are back, the part in Bowser's body is only in 2D gameplay and they must resolve some things to find the exit (like Yoob in the precedent game, but Bowser's body contains more places).

Its not our fault this is a long game. The story should be left as is. Ratfink43
:I understand the game is long. What I'm saying is the article does not need that much detail! We're talking about 4 pages! At Wikipedia (where detailed plot summaries are explicitly forbidden), the article on the same game has a nice three-paragraph plot summary. While I'm not suggesting that it needs to be that short, it definitely needs to be shorter than this. Toadfan 10:03, 10 August 2009 (EDT)
::But why? We're not Wikipedia. Personally, I think we should get into detail as much as possible (as long as it doesn't get redundant). But I agree we could improve the article by doing two things: 1) Adding more images to the plot section, so it's better readable. 2) Add a shorter summary for people like you who prefer a shorter version. Time Q

Since the box art appears at Nintendo.com and it is less than a month until North American release, this is probably the final Western game cover. Would not be unlikely, the same happened with WarioWare - the first two US game covers showed Wario and his cast of friends, but afterwards they adopted the simple style of the Japanese covers with just Wario's face - and now the same goes for the Mario & Luigi series. --Grandy02 05:42, 28 August 2009 (EDT)

We don't know the American release date or the title, sorry.
I think this has to do with the German USK age rating. The new size of the USK-logo takes almost half of the boxart. That's why they spaced out the cover. ==Comes out today==
Well it comes out today here in America so once somone who lives in America like me gets the game, major changes should be made to the article. Also the officiaal website has been updated.Ratfink43

Story
It might be useful that I haven't played this game, because that way I can see, how a visitor would see the article. I read through the story sections and they are fairly written and understandable. However, a major question was formed during reading the story and it remains unanswered. The relatively simple question is: Why? Why does Fawful do all these things? What's with the Blorps? How is it of use to him? Does he have any reasons? I still didn't get that. If these questions are already are answered in the text and I simply overlooked it, then I'm sorry. Might be kind of dull-witted today. - 23:03, 18 September 2009 (EDT)

Edit
Do you think we should change the screen shot of bowser where he is flaming up the meeting room because on the little word bubble it shows him saying "how dare you!" and on the game he really says "crud!". And I know this because I have played the game. --Count b 16:31, 21 September 2009 (EDT) Count_b

Yeah I'll get rid of that... I don't remember him saying "How dare you" either. Fawfulfury65

The how dare you part is from the E3 trailer. They must have changed it.

Continuous Play?
Hey! Been a while since I've been here (Been busy). Anyway, I noticed under game play differences it says that after beating the boss you can play after that point (like Super Paper Mario, or Paper Mario:TTyD, I'm not sure if that is true cus' I've beaten the game and it doesn't start after that point, all it does is takes you to your last save (I even thought you had to get to the highest rank for Bowser and the Bros. to do this!O_o). But if this is true, someone please tell me how to?

RickyMarioRickyMario 20:52, 21 September 2009 (EDT)

Your supposed to beat every enemy you see in the game to get level ups to provide rank ups. If you avoid fighting enemies you wont rank up!
LuigiB123
:I think he was refering to how you save after you've beaten the final boss. The article says it's possible but he does not know how it works. I too have my doubts that this works, because the article says, the bros get ejected from Bowser after the final boss. How are you supposed to play on after this? - 23:06, 22 September 2009 (EDT)

I beat the game, and after you beat the final boss, you start from your last saving point. Considering that there are no save points after the final boss, I do not believe that there is continuous play. Luigifreak

Ok, since two people agreed now that there's no "playing beyond the final boss", I removed that information, untill someone brings up proof of it's validity - 00:36, 23 September 2009 (EDT)

Yes same for me but I will go around and fight enemies to see if you need the top rank to do continuous play. There is a rank above star rank does anyone know what it is? Fawfulfury65

I dont know the Rank above Star rank but for Bowser the rank after Gold Boss rank is Final Boss Rank. Ratfink43

The rank after star rank is Rainbow Rank, found out after getting Mario and Luigi to Level 40! I noticed that if you level up after that, it only adds 1 point to each of your stats.
RickyMarioRickyMario

Yoob
Has anyone here fought the Purple Shy Guys? In one of there attacks you here Yoob in the backround and Yoob's tounge comes out and eats the Shy Guy and thShy Guy comes back as an Egg. It is not confirmed that the monster in the back is Yoob, as you dont see him, but the roar sounds a lot like Yoob's Roar and the tounge is giant like Yoob's. What do you guys Think? Ratfink43

I've noticed that as well. The same attack happens with the Red Shy Guys around Bowser's Castle. By the way, they're called Fawful Guys(red ones) and Dark Fawful Guys(purple ones). One thing that could lead this to not being Yoob, is that Yoob doesn't throw eggs in a Sunnycide like style and the attack happens inside Bowser's Belly when Bowser inhales the Dark Fawful Guys. In my opinion I think its a weird attack.....O_o

Possible music trivia
The music outside of Fawful's castle is the exact same music used for Ganondorf's theme in TLoZ: Ocarina of Time. Also, a few notes of Cackletta's theme can be heard in Fawful's castle inside theme. Not sure if wither fact belongs on this page or the respective articles' pages. :I don't think so, or else we would add that it also sounds like "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms", that the Toad Town theme share a part with "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms" and that the final boss theme is similar to "U.N. Owen Was Her?". ...Oh, wait, Touhou isn't made by Nintendo. Bah, doesn't matter. Anyway... No. Koopalmier 06:21, 26 September 2009 (EDT)

:I don't know if it would be meaningful to add that info without an official source. Is this said music? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mn68NdtBdk0 Hm, some parts match with the Ganon theme, but I doubt that's enough to confirm that it's a remix (it's also not "exactly the same". Not at all ;3) . - 00:10, 26 September 2009 (EDT)

Wapanese
I've played through the game and read that some of storyline of this game is similar to the story in its Japanese version. However, I think for it to be better, it should be rewritten to match its English storyline. Here's a few examples I found (I even tried editing them, but they were edited back):

1. Bowser gets pushed into a safe
Japanese: Bowser's minions push Bowser in, saying the Age of Bowser has ended, saying that Fawful has placed a price to whoever could stop Bowser.
American: Bowser's minions push Bowser in, saying the Age of Bowser has ended, saying that Fawful would promise them more rations if they could stop Bowser.

2. Bowser eats the 2nd Star Cure
Japanese: Starlow advises Bowser to eat the Star Cure.
American: Bowser ... just eats the Star Cure ... angrilly saying that it was the reason Bowser was locked up here in the first place.

3. Bowser stays in the safe for too long and is unable to move.
Japanese: Bowser's long stay in the safe forces him to fall unconcious.
American: Bowser's long stay in the safe forces his back to hurt.

This is all I can note right now.
Bluekirbystar

:Our usual policy is to follow the English release of the game, and note how the Japanese differs. Your edits got reverted not because anyone is "Wapanese", but because many users haven't yet had time to play the game and so don't know how it's different. So please don't start throwing accusations around. 22:40, 26 September 2009 (EDT)

:The one who reverted your latest edit was I, and I did it because you just swapped some words without adding more information, so I deemed the old writing style more fitting, so I changed it back to the old version. If anything here gets reverted, it is usually because you have not reached consensus with the other users, or you wrote something that does not correspond with our manual of style. - 22:53, 26 September 2009 (EDT)

German boxart
What the heck is up with the Yellow thing on the German Box-Art? Is it on all the germany games?Ratfink43

I guess that's the age rating thingy. Possibly meaning... everyone 6 and up? Fawfulfury65
:Ah, that's the fault of our German politicans and their odd opinions. Those airheads are currently debating over a prohibition for "Killerspiele" (trans. "Killer Games" - games that contain much violence (yes, the definition is that vague)). They are hoping to decrease the amount of school violence with this, thereby totally defying reality (as the one has nothing to do with the other). As a result of this debate, the age rating signs on all games were enlarged so that they now cover almost a quarter of the whole box. - 14:13, 27 September 2009 (EDT)

Split Giant Bowser Bosses from Bosses section.
You all know how the Overworld enemies and the inside bowser enemies are in different sections on the M&L:BiS page? Well, I think it would be rigt to split the Giant Bowser from the Boss section. I think it would be better so we know which Bosses bowser versus giant more easily. If you don't agree, then I fine with that, since there is not that many, but many of the headers have small sections under theirs, so...I'm just saying. All I want is to make sure I can do that without getting in trouble or having it getting changed back...
:I agree, but don't know what others may say. - 16:48, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
::Dimenshi Knight seconds this though. He thinks that you have a good reason, Bloops. Dimenshi Knight
:Tucayo, if your still on, can I please split the Giant Bowser Bosses from the Bosses section now? Or do you not want to do that.

Description of bosses and enemies...
I know that I have all these ideas, but the article does really need help. I looked at the past installments of the Mario & Luigi series, and the enemies and bosses in their main page area have no description (If you don't understand me, on the M&L:BiS, in the headers with the enemies (for example), they have a description that was used from a long time ago...). I think we should get rid of it, since their own individual article tells about them now. I just saying, it would be some less junk on the page...
:You mean getting rid of the enemy summaries? No, I wouldn't do that. They are good to give the reader a short idea of the subject, and if the reader is interested, he/she can switch to the main article of that enemy for more information. I think they're useful. - 17:06, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
::I'm just saying. I looked at the past installments and they did not have the little summaries like this one does. If you like it, I can respect that, but the page is a little cluttered and the little descpritions are one of the main causes to take. If you don't want it, that's fine with me! -
:Dimenshi Knight doesn't want to seem like he always agree with Baby Mario Bloops, but he has a good point with the article being cluttered! Sorry, Edofenrir, you have a good point, but Dimenshi Knight thinks it better for the article to not have too much stuff on it. Dimenshi Knight
::Yeah really, it does look cluttered. I don't like the short summaries. Maybe we can find a way to make it less cluttered... Fawfulfury65
:::How about shortening the summaries, so that they fit into one line? Much of the summaries are overly long and could use some size adjustment. An example would be the enemy list I made/redesigned on Wario Land 2. - 18:27, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
We could try...
::::Could someone upload sprites of the enemies to put next to the description? I think that would look better just as it does in the Wario Land 2 article. Fawfulfury65
Unless you can find them all, your pushing it. Also, we don't want to copy off of something that was exactly used before.
::Well, putting the little sprites next to the enemies in the WL2 article was my idea, and I don't see a problem to use that here as well (provided we can get the necessary sprites). I also have to say that the article looks much better with the shortened summaries (I will check them in a moment). - 19:39, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
Now the article is all neat and presentable, and I will use that idea only if the sprites are all found. So, I also think that is cooled, but we need the sprites.
:Nevermind...why did you change it back, Tucayo, the users above all agreed that it would be a lot better the other way. Can you please change it back?
::I wrote him a note, so we may give him time to respond first :3 - 19:48, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
:: I know, but just a quick question to Tucayo, these are just very short summaries, and the old summaries are pretty long. Just to let you know, their are articles for them, so it doesn't have to have two long summaries, okay (sorry if it sounds angry).
:::Ok, Tucayo told me, that he agrees with the idea, but we may have to rewrite some things. I will get started with that now and hope to finish it within the next hour :3 - 19:54, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
::::OK, great! I have to go now (do some homework (high school is hard!)), see you in about an hour or an hour an a half.
:::::Thank you Endofenrir! That typing he undid took awhile, IOU1!

Possible Title Screen Trivia
I was just playing the game, and I noticed that this is the first time in the Mario and Luigi series that Mario and Luigi themselves are not visible on the title screen. Could someone put it in the trivia section, or would it be better if it went in the "Mario and Luigi (Series)" article?
Spenfen
:Their silhouettes are visible ontop of the "Luigi" lettering, so I guess you can't just say that they are not visible there just like that. - 15:33, 3 October 2009 (EDT)
::I do not remember them being visible in Superstar Saga Skawo93 14:26, 4 October 2009 (EDT)

Even though Yoshi does not appear ...
I have noticed that whenever you fight the Fawful Guys (Whether if its a regular one at Bowser's Castle or a Dark Fawful Guy at Fawful's Castle), a "Yoshi Tongue" sticks out of nowhere and eats the Shy Guy, then aims an egg at Mario or Luigi. I think that its supposed to be some easter egg of Yoshi's Island or something. Bluekirbystar
:You know, I was just thinking about that. If you listen to the sound, though, it doesn't sound like Yoshi. It's actually sounds like Yoob (or even Sunnycide) when it uses it's tongue to grab them. Also, to prove my opinion, the fawful guys get shot out by a pink and green egg, kind-of like the Yoob problem (in the prequel, the Yoshi's were trapped in pink and green eggs!). That's all I saying...

::I was thinking that BMB, maybe it is an easter egg, but it also appears inside Bowser's stomach when fighting Dark Fawful Guys so, yeah...O_O.--

::: I noticed this too. I don't know why, as no Shy Guys appear in that game, but since the level IS based off of Yoshi's Island, where Shy Guys are prominant, that might be it... What do you think?

Actually, Boom guys and Fly guys do appear in Partners in time. And they ARE shy guys.

There is an alternate ending?!!
There is supposedly an alternate ending to this game if I beat this game UNDER level 17! How is that possible? But anyways, if anyone did it could they tell me what happens? And put it in the trivia while you're at it.

I've just started my 3rd playthrough so I'll try that, but don't put it in the trivia because it might not be true.

Is that one of those funny internet rumors? If so, tell those people I'm still waiting to get the Triforce in Ocarina of Time. - 19:17, 3 November 2009 (EST)

Well, I found this stuff on a bunch of websites so it is more likely true. I also heard that there is another ending for players who get to level 40 and win, and I have Mario and Luigi on Lv 38 so I'll try that first.

:I'll see right now because M and L are on level 44 and Bowser's on level 40.--

I know THAT one. Chakror tells you you rock, or something like that. But I wanna know what happens when you go under level 17 because once I just did a runthrough when I was supposed to be sleeping (don't tell anyone) I played for like 7 hours and didn't fight many people except for the bosses, I got to Chakror in 7 hours, and Mario and Luigi was already level 20! What the?! How am I supposed to do the final boss under level 17?

And what does getting the triforce in Ocarina of time have anything to do with this?

:It was sarcasm. I was basically saying: If someone on the internet tells you something about secret stuff in games without showing evidence, it's best to remain sceptical for the beginning. - 21:38, 6 November 2009 (EST)

I'm sure if this were true someone would have already done it under lv 17 and then would put it on youtube(a lot of people put that kind of stuff on). And if this is not on youtube than that most likely means that its fake because how could someone discover the alternate ending without anyone ever doing it. So, its probably fake. ):

I think its literally impossible as I beat this game with the action replay without swalling the blooper stone, not swalling the flyguys in the wiggler battle or from anything else skipping through the fawfliants, skipping Wisdurm, skipping the entire Dimble woods looking for attack pieces part, and not fighting anyone I didn't need to except for 2 dried bloopers on accident. And I still got to level 20 after I fought Dark Star!! This must be impossible. I can't even do it with action replay! The only thing left to do is to go to plack beach and use the all abilities cheat to cut to Toad Town and start from there. See if that works.

Also I don't know a thing about Zelda, Edofenir so can you clear that up? Is majora's mask not in that game or something?

Abilities cheat? How do you do that?

Its action replay. Makes you have every single ability and specials anywhere you want. Just doesn't make you able to hit the attack piece in Toad Town. Also it occasionally freezes the game. But definitely one of the best cheats there are. Also for some reason you can't get magikoopa or Broggy. You can use that to skip great parts of that game.

Well, I am pretty sure its possible to beat the game level 17 or under. But why the heck would it unlock an alternate ending? Is Nintendo "rewarding" people who didnt fight enemies becuase that would make no sense(but nintendo really doesent make sense). However I am trying to do this myself. I just fought drk Fawful and I am level 15 so if I find an alternate ending I will tell youRatfink43

RATFINK HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?!! I used action replay to skip every single person from Dimble wood at the beginning of the game to Toad Town, and I skipped Wisdurm and I'm after the fawful train and I'm STILL at level 13! And I haven't even fought Junker or Dark Star yet! Which in my expierence both gives you at least 5 levels. How the hell did you do that? Tell me ratfink! Are there any other optional bosses beside the Shroobs and the X bosses? I'm getting kinda frustrated. Its impossible even with action replay so far to me.

"Beat the game with Mario or Luigi at level 17 or lower". 17:11, 12 November 2009 (EST)

How did I do that? How did I do what? You mean be at lv 15? Simple, my friend gave me his action replay. He also gave me a code(I dont remember what the code was, or what website it was on, so dont ask.) So I punched the code into my action replay and it let me skip ALL THE WAY TO PEACHES CASTLE!!!! You would think if I could go to the beggining all the way to peaches castle id be at level 3 or something, but when I first played my 3rd playthrough I was playing normally, but my friend gave me the code when I was on Dimble Wood. So now I am almost gonna fight the dark star and I will see what I can do. Ratfink43

So knife what your saying is that i should kill Mario or Luigi during one of the battles? ... That might work... and to ratfink, there is no code that makes you skip to Peachs castle yet is there? What did you do? All abilities cheat?

Tables for enemies...
I'm not talking about the yellow templates for the enemies on their pages, I'm talking about a table for all the enemies on the page we are talking about. Edofenrir offered this, and I think you may want to help too! So, if you look at the boss section (to see what I am talking about), could some users help me out?

I'll help a bit but I'm not good at tables. Also, I think it's best if we have the sprites for the enemies in the tables instead of their artwork. Y'know, like for Midbus, it would look better with the actual sprite from the game, not his artwork.

Ok, I know this isn't anything to do with the enemies tables thing, but I just beat it with Luigi AT level 17. And no, nothing happened so can someone please tell those idiots on the internet, (the cheats section on ign gamefaqs etc.) that this is fake?

:Fawfulfury65, not all enemies/bosses have sprites for them. Most have just artwork, many have just sprites, and some have both. I think it is best just to use which image fits best.

::I mean, if there is a sprite for them. If there is no sprite then we can just put in the artwork.

:::There has to be sprites for every enemy. Plus, consistency is the best. I also like to use sprites for tables rather than artwork. I just think it looks cleaner.

Bestiary for enemies?
Red star, if this is what you are talking about making the page longer and shorter? I disagree with it, but you already did it with the Superstar Saga one, so I think your going to do it anyways (and I will keep my mouth shut on the rewrite stuff).
:I already did it with the Superstar Saga one because it was only a list, so it could easily be expanded. I'm leaving the one here for discussion because all the enemies are in tables, so I didn't want to undermine anyone's work. Redstar 23:00, 30 November 2009 (EST)
:::This is about the tables for the enemies. In the guidebook I have (I say that too much), there is no information about Elite Goombule (which I think have the same stat's as goombule), shroobs, Dark Mechawful.5, and Bowser X. For now, I need help finding what they are, because I am clueless for what the stats are...

Wouldn't it be best of the overworld subsection were merged with the locations section? I mean, the locations are part of the overworld. I need help with the images in this section. These bosses are not like any other boss (some aren't even like an enemy!) and I need some assistance implement those images into this section.

Please?

:Could you describe the problem, so people who read this get an idea what kind of assistance you need? - 21:51, 9 January 2010 (EST)

::Well, there is regular sized bosses such as Midbus and Dark Fawful, but Giant Bosses like Bowser's Castle and Tower of Yikk are not battled in the same manner as regular bosses and they act much like obstacles but with an HP and Attack stat. I'm wondering how can place these images of the large bosses without having to resort to a screenshot of a scene or such.

:::So basically, it's a problem with obtaining the sprites, right?--

::::Yes. Without them, the bestiary wouldn't be complete.

I have the same problem with Shrowser from PiT. I can't find a sprite of him because he's so big (since Elder Princess Shroob) is part of him). I'd say to just leave the Giant Bosses or whatever its called table without images. You'll probably never find the images anyway to be honest...

Ok then I'll just leave it blank then.

Sections in the enemy tables...
With the enemy/boss table that we currently have, it is pretty packed. Maybe we should do what PiT has, just get rid of the POW, DEF, SPEED. Add EXP and Coins, so that we can have it neat and organized. Plus, we have all the stats for them in their own article, so might as well change the tables on this page. Would agrees with this?
:Actually, the SS and PiT articles have there tables set up that way because HP, EXP, and coins were the only stats I could find. There's like no walkthrough in the world with the rest of the stats, and I had no guide for the game. But EXP and coins would make more sense since the other stats are on the enemy's articles. Either way seems fine to me.

Possible Trivia Addition?
This could have also been placed in the errors section if there were one. There is an error in the instruction booklet where on page 31, a screenshot is shown of the stat screen with the bros at level 41, Rainbow Rank, and Bowser at level 43, Final Boss Rank. Normally you cannot see the final ranks until you achieve them ingame. SomeGuyNamedDavid 17:04, 12 April 2010 (EDT)
:Um... well yeah but in the screenshot you can see that the characters are all above level 40, which is the level you need to get to to get Rainbow or Final Boss rank. So I don't see what's wrong with it.

::Perhaps SGND means that the manual basically reveals these extra ranks, although they are supposed to be a secret and somewhat of a surprise.  It might make for good trivia on the Rank page. Culex 18:57, 12 April 2010 (EDT)

So does the beating game under level 17 ending work? I've heard its possible (Though its incredibly hard) but I would like some proof first (since it didn't work for me). Anyone done it yet?

:Well, I have not done it yet but I checked in the rom and I find the text part of the alternate endings and one say this : At theses ranks, you have bested the Dark Star... That is amazing... You have done well... Reach higher ranks... And good thing await.... So it could be the level 17 ending. Now i'm trying to do it in game to really prove that it's real. 03:06, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
::Guys, that level 17 thing is fake! If it were real, I'm sure 80 different people would have done it and posted it on youtube by now. It's not real.

Well, the youtube people are so far unimaginablly slow at Bowser's Inside Story since the Level 40 and over one is real but I haven't found any of them on youtube yet. Plus theres no no damage videos of bosses yet, even though they're quite easy to do. I've made a few, but since they're recorded directly from the ds it sucks. == This Trivia is incorrect - about optional bosses ==

* This is the first Mario & Luigi game to have optional bosses.

This isn't right. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga had four optional bosses that I can think of, off the top of my head: Popple 1, 2 and 4 and Jojora. You don't need to kill these bosses but you can if you want the extra experience and possible items they drop. Avengah 03:34, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

You are right, Supermariofan14. (At least I think so) And the only un-optional boss stronger than the final one is Chakron. -User:Pinkpal P.S. I can't beleave Chakron has 9,999 HP! I guess thats from meditation. CHAKRON SMASH!!!
:Isn't Dark Star X stronger than the final boss? (It's definitely harder, anyway...) It has, like 3,000 health and you can't hurt it all the time.
::Yes, it has 3,993 HP to be exact. This trivia should either be modified or removed to avoid confusion again. I prefer too change it to "This is the first Mario & Luigi game to have bosses that can optionally be faced in battle."

Just a coincidence...or a reference?
I was thinking this over, and I noticed something, but wasn't sure if it was a true reference or not. Are the colors and ranks of Sergeant Guy, Corporal Paraplonk, and Private Goomp a reference to the first three Keronians encountered in Sgt. Frog/Keroro Gunsou? Here's how it goes:

Sergeant Guy - Sergeant Keroro (both green)
Corporal Paraplonk - Corporal Giroro (both red)
Private Goomp - Private Tamama (both blue)

A List of All Enemies!

On a capture site containing guides for games, I peaked into their Mario & Luigi RPG 3 section to see what I could find and bring to this Wiki. Look at this, a whole list of every enemy, it appears!

Sergeant GuyHyper Guy (talk)Sergeant Guy

Um, an infobox would consume much less data, and load faster. AFAIK, nobody's actually ripped the stats from the game yet anyway. If you want to add separate images of each enemy to the appropriate articles, that'd probably be much more helpful. - 2257(Talk) 15:12, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

You say nobody's ripped the stats, but does that make me a nobody? I know almost all the enemy stats at the moment. Here's a couple.I'll try to help with stats as much as possible because I love stats me.

Fawful: 1,500 HP

Shroob Senji: 300 HP

Sergeant GuyHyper Guy (talk)Sergeant Guy

Actually, I said "As far as I know, nobody's ripped the stats." ;) Anyway, how did you get those? - 2257(Talk) 17:04, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

Sergeant GuyHyper Guy (talk)Sergeant Guy

Oh, ok. That sounds good. With the HP, I can determine all the other stats from datamining. Which would also be enough, I'd think, to get rid of any error... - 2257(Talk) 12:10, 18 April 2009 (EDT)

So should I wait untill the official English enemy names and THEN make the articles and put the sprites and stuff on? Because I'm ripping them as we speak.Sergeant GuyHyper Guy (talk)Sergeant Guy

Eh, it won't be hard to rename them later. Go ahead and start. - 2257(Talk) 12:53, 19 April 2009 (EDT)

You can try spriters resource for the sprites . I've see some M&L RPG 3 sprites there. Masatog(talk)

Oh yeah. Looks like I don't have to worry anymore! But they don't have any MetaBoss sprites... So I'll do that myself. Sergeant GuyHyper Guy (talk)Sergeant Guy

You are correct, but it also takes time to program the games to make them speak English. Star.gif SuperMarioSuperFanPapermario.gif

that doesnt mean anything. there is no "games usually are released three months after Japan". none of us can afford to assume anything. as we move closer to the games release, more and more will begin to reveal. Luigi456 19:57, 11 May 2009 (EDT)

Game Title

I have been hearing like a lot of you I am sure have been hearing that there is a rumor the official title for the game is Mario & Luigi: The Chronicles of Three but do not take this to heart because this may be false especially since Nintendo remains silent to any thing of this game still. --Count b 12:00, 22 May 2009 (EDT) Count b

PAL release

Just got the French Nintendo Official Magazine today. It says that the Europe release date is in July. I'm not sure (the British Nintendo Official Magazine says that the release date is in Autumn), but what is sure is that something is going to happen in July. Maybe the US release ? Koopalmier 09:38, 27 May 2009 (EDT)

Well the release date may be announced at E3 09 in June so it probably will be released in late June or early July. YAY! I can't wait!--Fawfulfury65 10:40, 27 May 2009 (EDT)fawfulfury65

I've got news. First, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games will be released later than November in Europe, meaning that it may come out in Europe near December/January. Something more important, something will be released in Europe in July. I'm pretty sure it's M&L3. I got these news from someone that is working at a video game shop. Koopalmier 14:22, 28 May 2009 (EDT)

Well, workers in video game stores aren't always correct.--Fawfulfury65 19:02, 28 May 2009 (EDT)

As we all know E3 is coming up so keep your eyes peeled for any info from Nintendo on Mario & Luigi RPG 3 I have a ahunch we will find something there! --Count b 15:57, 31 May 2009 (EDT) Count b

Umm...

Shouldnt the name be Mario and Luigi Rpg 3!!! still? It was first released in Japan, under that name, and because of the proposal from a few months ago, this name is invalid??? Luigfreak Luigi Mai talk

No, the proposal was about the first English name used. So it's basically about whether the game iss released first in America, in Europe, or in Australia. Time Questions 00:00, 3 June 2009 (EDT)

NA name for the Mekataro disease

I probably misspelled Mekataro, but I was watching a video on the Wii at the Nintendo Channel, from E3, and in one of the Toad's speech bubbles it mentioned the disease being called "blorbs". There's even a picture of that screen in this article too! Should Mekataro be changed to Blorbs? The Game Prince

Not yet. Wait for more information just to make sure it's correct.--Fawfulfury65 10:25, 9 June 2009 (EDT)fawfulfury65

Um, it's in Nintendo Power! I just got my issue today, and it has a 4-page runthrough of the plot. It clearly and surely states that it is called "The Blorbs". If you don't believe me, I'll scan it. I think it's official by now, and the name should be changed if it hasn't already. The Game Prince

I have this game, and the disease IS called "The Blorbs", i can start updating all the names in the wiki. -Tefdalls

October 1st

Why is this date on the american release Nintendo has not specified any date it is just known as Fall 2009 on their website. --Count b 10:55, 7 June 2009 (EDT) Count b

That release date isn't from Wikipedia. It's from GameStop, so that release date could be true. -RedFire Mario

I guess it's fine then. But Nintendo still says Fall so I'm going to ask someone next time I go to Gamestop.--Fawfulfury65 15:37, 20 June 2009 (EDT)fawfulfury65

"The blorbs"!?

On Nintendo's official website I was browsing through the news from E3 and I saw a video containg a few speech bubbles in English. In one of them a Toad said "Soon the entire Mushroom Kingdom will get the blorbs..." [2] The quote is at 0:04. I think I had given enough of proof.

Yoshi Koshi Moshi 16:23, 22 June 2009 (EDT)

Still, we have no proof from Nintendo. Maybe I will call up Nintendo and Ask if this is the boxart. For now i am gonna leave the Japanese Box art, but after I call it may be changedratfink43

It's, true, they made the original boxart (the Japanese one). This one is just the Jap. one but with a custom US logo. So it doesn't mean Nintendo made it all. They made the boxart, not the logo. Koopalmier 12:32, 31 July 2009 (EDT)

Yes Kooplaimer, I agree with you. They shouldnt use this Box art. But when I called Nintendo, I asked if they released the Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story Box Art for US. The guy said he dosent remember. I told him to go to gamestop.com and tell me if Nintendo made the Box art that appears there. This is exactly what he said: "Yes. We have created this Box art. However, it is likley to change." Scince it is most likley to change, we should leave the Japanese Box art on this article and leave the subject alone for now. ratfink43

Hey! Today I went to Gamestop and they had a rack of upcoming games that showed the boxart for BiS! They said the boxart wasn't final, but I'll describe what it looked like since I can't find it on the internet: It had Mario and Luigi climbing on bones in Bowser's body (Like in that one image in the photo gallery) and then Bowser was in the background, except he was pink, along with the rest of the background. And the title logo was in the middle of the picture. The length of the Story section...

...is way too long. When pasted into Word, it takes up 4 pages and 4 lines at the default settings. Anyone who has time to write (or read) that much stuff about one video game needs to really get a life. Toadfan 09:06, 10 August 2009 (EDT)

Its not our fault this is a long game. The story should be left as is. Ratfink43

I understand the game is long.
But why? We're not Wikipedia. Personally, I think we should get into detail as much as possible (as long as it doesn't get redundant). But I agree we could improve the article by doing two things: 1) Adding more images to the plot section, so it's better readable. 2) Add a shorter summary for people like you who prefer a shorter version. Time Q (talk)
Yes, that would be a good idea. Toadfan 10:47, 10 August 2009 (EDT)

I guess the story doesent have to be every little deatail, but it shouldnt be a short summary either. I WOULD edit this page, but somone locked it.Ratfink43

What Time Q meant was to add a short summary separately, like in the lede...oh well, just forget it. This discussion is obviously getting nowhere. Toadfan 10:14, 11 August 2009 (EDT)

The game is not that long I've only had it 4 3 days and have beaten it already gamer2.1 (talk)

HEY!!!! Look at the Story line in Partners in Time, and Superstar Saga. I even checked, and they make 6-7 page (around there) for their storylines. This, compared to that, is very small. Also, when I read the section, I see lots of short, too choppy sentences, making it look bad. Lets try to expand the story by some because it would help the article. Baby

NA boxart

Seiriously, we should add the NA boxart found at gamestop.com. Its even on ign.com,costco.com,and now its on wikipedia. Thats it, Im adding it.Ratfink43

Yeah, but I'm removing it. One example is that I went to GameStop myself and I saw a lable on the Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story box-art as "unofficial" (what they really said was not final, but you know what I mean). · SMB (Talk) · 10:18, 11 August 2009 (EDT)
Exactly. Plus GameFAQs is affiliated with Gamestop, and the other websites are just naives. Koopalmier 11:56, 12 August 2009 (EDT)

OK just forget about the boxart until something REAL comes up. Gamestop made that boxart up and a bunch of other websites probably copied their boxart. Besides, I saw the real boxart when I was reserveing M&L BiS. It's not final, but it looks nothing like the Japanese boxart. fawfulfury65 Dark Fawful sprite.PNG

Seriously, if you can't decide on which boxart is real, did it ever occur to you all to just remove the (supposedly fake) boxart(s) in question until it is known which one is real? And if one of the boxarts is, in fact, real and you think it sucks, then live with it! Toadfan 20:31, 26 August 2009 (EDT)

I think this has to do with the German USK age rating. The new size of the USK-logo takes almost half of the boxart. That's why they spaced out the cover. But countries outside of Germany use the PEGI age rating. This logo is small. I don't get why they use the spaced out version when PEGI is used. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits)

Because it makes the EU box art different of the original. Koopalmier 13:48, 7 September 2009 (EDT)
The big German USK age rating is also what came to my mind (some months ago, it was even bigger than today, but before that change, it was much smaller). Maybe the change also applies to covers with the PEGI rating because they want to keep it consistent within PAL regions (except for Oceania, where the American design will be used, I guess). --Grandy02 16:28, 11 September 2009 (EDT)
No, as they used the JAP boxart for New Super Mario Bros.. I think they kept the spaced box art because it is also a reference to the fact Bowser's gameplay is on the up screen while the Mario Bros. gameplay is on the touch screen. Koopalmier 12:17, 13 September 2009 (EDT)

That's all I know now.

Ah and I changed the attack part names, but not Bowser's attack names: Goomba Storm, Shy Guy Squad, Koopa Corps, Bob-Omb Blitz, Magikoopa Mob (Don't have the Blodog attack)

Some boss names: Durmit, Alpha Kretin/Beta Kretin , Wisdurm, Bowser Memory M & L, Junker , Dark Star , Dark Satellmite , Dark Bowser

Austraillian release date

When has it been confirmed that the release date for Australlia is Oct 22nd? Ratfink43

Order...

Shouldn't someone put the bosses in order of when they are fought? €lectrobomber

Comes out today

- Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 23:03, 18 September 2009 (EDT)

He created the blorbs epidemic so that everyone is trying to cure it while he's taking over Peach's castle without being seen. Koopalmier 10:20, 19 September 2009 (EDT)

22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

The preceding unsigned comment was added by LuigiB123 (talk).

I think he was refering to how you save after you've beaten the final boss. The article says it's possible but he does not know how it works. I too have my doubts that this works, because the article says, the bros get ejected from Bowser after the final boss. How are you supposed to play on after this? - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 23:06, 22 September 2009 (EDT)

I beat the game, and after you beat the final boss, you start from your last saving point. Considering that there are no save points after the final boss, I do not believe that there is continuous play. Luigifreak (talk)

Ok, since two people agreed now that there's no "playing beyond the final boss", I removed that information, untill someone brings up proof of it's validity - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 00:36, 23 September 2009 (EDT)

Shineget!.png Para Yoshi Parayoshiicon.jpg Wahoo! Mommy!.png 23:56, 25 September 2009 (EDT)

I don't think so, or else we would add that it also sounds like "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms", that the Toad Town theme share a part with "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms" and that the final boss theme is similar to "U.N. Owen Was Her?". ...Oh, wait, Touhou isn't made by Nintendo. Bah, doesn't matter. Anyway... No. Koopalmier 06:21, 26 September 2009 (EDT)
I don't know if it would be meaningful to add that info without an official source. Is this said music? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mn68NdtBdk0 Hm, some parts match with the Ganon theme, but I doubt that's enough to confirm that it's a remix (it's also not "exactly the same". Not at all ;3) . - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 00:10, 26 September 2009 (EDT)

Wapanese

I've played through the game and read that some of storyline of this game is similar to the story in its Japanese version. However, I think for it to be better, it should be rewritten to match its English storyline. Here's a few examples I found (I even tried editing them, but they were edited back):

1. Bowser gets pushed into a safe Japanese: Bowser's minions push Bowser in, saying the Age of Bowser has ended, saying that Fawful has placed a price to whoever could stop Bowser. American: Bowser's minions push Bowser in, saying the Age of Bowser has ended, saying that Fawful would promise them more rations if they could stop Bowser.

2. Bowser eats the 2nd Star Cure Japanese: Starlow advises Bowser to eat the Star Cure.

The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bluekirbystar (talk).

Our usual policy is to follow the English release of the game, and note how the Japanese differs. Your edits got reverted not because anyone is "Wapanese", but because many users haven't yet had time to play the game and so don't know how it's different. So please don't start throwing accusations around. - 2257(Talk) 22:40, 26 September 2009 (EDT)
The one who reverted your latest edit was I, and I did it because you just swapped some words without adding more information, so I deemed the old writing style more fitting, so I changed it back to the old version. If anything here gets reverted, it is usually because you have not reached consensus with the other users, or you wrote something that does not correspond with our manual of style. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 22:53, 26 September 2009 (EDT)

German boxart

What the heck is up with the Yellow thing on the German Box-Art? Is it on all the germany games?Ratfink43

I guess that's the age rating thingy. Possibly meaning... everyone 6 and up? Fawfulfury65 (talk)

Ah, that's the fault of our German politicans and their odd opinions. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 14:13, 27 September 2009 (EDT)

Baby Mario Bloops

I agree, but don't know what others may say. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 16:48, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
Dimenshi Knight seconds this though. He thinks that you have a good reason, Bloops. Dimenshi Knight
Tucayo, if your still on, can I please split the Giant Bowser Bosses from the Bosses section now? Or do you not want to do that. Baby

Mario Bloops

Description of bosses and enemies...

I know that I have all these ideas, but the article does really need help. I looked at the past installments of the Mario & Luigi series, and the enemies and bosses in their main page area have no description (If you don't understand me, on the M&L:BiS, in the headers with the enemies (for example), they have a description that was used from a long time ago...). I think we should get rid of it, since their own individual article tells about them now. I just saying, it would be some less junk on the page... Baby Mario Bloops

You mean getting rid of the enemy summaries? No, I wouldn't do that. They are good to give the reader a short idea of the subject, and if the reader is interested, he/she can switch to the main article of that enemy for more information. I think they're useful. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 17:06, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
I'm just saying. I looked at the past installments and they did not have the little summaries like this one does. If you like it, I can respect that, but the page is a little cluttered and the little descpritions are one of the main causes to take. If you don't want it, that's fine with me! - Baby

Mario Bloops

Dimenshi Knight doesn't want to seem like he always agree with Baby Mario Bloops, but he has a good point with the article being cluttered! Sorry, Edofenrir, you have a good point, but Dimenshi Knight thinks it better for the article to not have too much stuff on it. Dimenshi Knight
Yeah really, it does look cluttered. I don't like the short summaries. Maybe we can find a way to make it less cluttered... Fawfulfury65 (talk)
How about shortening the summaries, so that they fit into one line? Much of the summaries are overly long and could use some size adjustment. An example would be the enemy list I made/redesigned on Wario Land 2. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 18:27, 28 September 2009 (EDT)

We could try... Baby Mario Bloops

Could someone upload sprites of the enemies to put next to the description? I think that would look better just as it does in the Wario Land 2 article. Fawfulfury65 (talk)

Unless you can find them all, your pushing it. Also, we don't want to copy off of something that was exactly used before. Baby Mario Bloops

Well, putting the little sprites next to the enemies in the WL2 article was my idea, and I don't see a problem to use that here as well (provided we can get the necessary sprites). I also have to say that the article looks much better with the shortened summaries (I will check them in a moment). - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 19:39, 28 September 2009 (EDT)

Now the article is all neat and presentable, and I will use that idea only if the sprites are all found. So, I also think that is cooled, but we need the sprites. Baby Mario Bloops

Nevermind...why did you change it back, Tucayo, the users above all agreed that it would be a lot better the other way. Can you please change it back? Baby

Mario Bloops

I wrote him a note, so we may give him time to respond first :3 - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 19:48, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
I know, but just a quick question to Tucayo, these are just very short summaries, and the old summaries are pretty long. Just to let you know, their are articles for them, so it doesn't have to have two long summaries, okay (sorry if it sounds angry). Baby

Mario Bloops

Ok, Tucayo told me, that he agrees with the idea, but we may have to rewrite some things. I will get started with that now and hope to finish it within the next hour :3 - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 19:54, 28 September 2009 (EDT)
OK, great! I have to go now (do some homework (high school is hard!)), see you in about an hour or an hour an a half. Baby

Mario Bloops

Thank you Endofenrir! That typing he undid took awhile, IOU1! Baby

Spenfen

Their silhouettes are visible ontop of the "Luigi" lettering, so I guess you can't just say that they are not visible there just like that. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 15:33, 3 October 2009 (EDT)
I do not remember them being visible in Superstar Saga Skawo93 14:26, 4 October 2009 (EDT)

Then you should say that to avoid confusion. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 16:54, 8 October 2009 (EDT)

The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bluekirbystar (talk).

You know, I was just thinking about that. Baby

Mario Bloops

I was thinking that BMB, maybe it is an easter egg, but it also appears inside Bowser's stomach when fighting Dark Fawful Guys so, yeah...O_O.--FREAK ~Game GameBros.png Freak~ OUT!
I noticed this too. I don't know why, as no Shy Guys appear in that game, but since the level IS based off of Yoshi's Island, where Shy Guys are prominant, that might be it... What do you think? User:Dry Paratroopa/sig

There is an alternate ending?!!

There is supposedly an alternate ending to this game if I beat this game UNDER level 17! How is that possible? But anyways, if anyone did it could they tell me what happens? And put it in the trivia while you're at it. 22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

I've just started my 3rd playthrough so I'll try that, but don't put it in the trivia because it might not be true. Fawfulfury65

Is that one of those funny internet rumors? If so, tell those people I'm still waiting to get the Triforce in Ocarina of Time. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 19:17, 3 November 2009 (EST)

Well, I found this stuff on a bunch of websites so it is more likely true. I also heard that there is another ending for players who get to level 40 and win, and I have Mario and Luigi on Lv 38 so I'll try that first. Fawfulfury65

I'll see right now because M and L are on level 44 and Bowser's on level 40.--FREAK ~Game GameBros.png Freak~ OUT!

22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

And what does getting the triforce in Ocarina of time have anything to do with this? 22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

It was sarcasm. I was basically saying: If someone on the internet tells you something about secret stuff in games without showing evidence, it's best to remain sceptical for the beginning. - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 21:38, 6 November 2009 (EST)

I'm sure if this were true someone would have already done it under lv 17 and then would put it on youtube(a lot of people put that kind of stuff on). And if this is not on youtube than that most likely means that its fake because how could someone discover the alternate ending without anyone ever doing it. So, its probably fake. ): Fawfulfury65

22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

Also I don't know a thing about Zelda, Edofenir so can you clear that up? Is majora's mask not in that game or something? 22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

Abilities cheat? How do you do that? Fawfulfury65

22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

"Beat the game with Mario or Luigi at level 17 or lower".Knife (talk) 17:11, 12 November 2009 (EST)

Baby Mario Bloops

I'll help a bit but I'm not good at tables. Also, I think it's best if we have the sprites for the enemies in the tables instead of their artwork. Y'know, like for Midbus, it would look better with the actual sprite from the game, not his artwork. Fawfulfury65

Ok, I know this isn't anything to do with the enemies tables thing, but I just beat it with Luigi AT level 17. And no, nothing happened so can someone please tell those idiots on the internet, (the cheats section on ign gamefaqs etc.) that this is fake?

22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

Fawfulfury65, not all enemies/bosses have sprites for them. Most have just artwork, many have just sprites, and some have both. I think it is best just to use which image fits best. Baby

Mario Bloops

I mean, if there is a sprite for them. If there is no sprite then we can just put in the artwork. Fawfulfury65
There has to be sprites for every enemy. Plus, consistency is the best. I also like to use sprites for tables rather than artwork. I just think it looks cleaner. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C)

Bestiary for enemies?

Red star, if this is what you are talking about making the page longer and shorter? I disagree with it, but you already did it with the Superstar Saga one, so I think your going to do it anyways (and I will keep my mouth shut on the rewrite stuff). Baby Mario Bloops

I already did it with the Superstar Saga one because it was only a list, so it could easily be expanded. I'm leaving the one here for discussion because all the enemies are in tables, so I didn't want to undermine anyone's work. Redstar 23:00, 30 November 2009 (EST)
This is about the tables for the enemies. In the guidebook I have (I say that too much), there is no information about Elite Goombule (which I think have the same stat's as goombule), shroobs, Dark Mechawful.5, and Bowser X. For now, I need help finding what they are, because I am clueless for what the stats are... Baby

Japanese pics

I noticed that there are alot of Japanese screenshots in the screenshots section. Shouldn't we get rid of those. I mean, how is a picture written in a different language going to help a reader. Fawfulfury65

Merge Da Sections and Stuff

Wouldn't it be best of the overworld subsection were merged with the locations section? I mean, the locations are part of the overworld. Then the Bowser and Mario Battle System subsections can go under a "Battle System" section, where I can also list stat info and other stuff. Fawfulfury65

That is a really good idea, and save some space along with this merging! Good idea! Baby

Giant Bosses Section?

I need help with the images in this section. These bosses are not like any other boss (some aren't even like an enemy!) and I need some assistance implement those images into this section.

Please?

BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C)

Could you describe the problem, so people who read this get an idea what kind of assistance you need? - Gabumon from the Digimon franchise Gabumon(talk) 21:51, 9 January 2010 (EST)
Well, there is regular sized bosses such as Midbus and Dark Fawful, but Giant Bosses like Bowser's Castle and Tower of Yikk are not battled in the same manner as regular bosses and they act much like obstacles but with an HP and Attack stat. I'm wondering how can place these images of the large bosses without having to resort to a screenshot of a scene or such. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C)
So basically, it's a problem with obtaining the sprites, right?--FREAK ~Game GameBros.png Freak~ OUT!
Yes. Without them, the bestiary wouldn't be complete. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C)

I have the same problem with Shrowser from PiT. I can't find a sprite of him because he's so big (since Elder Princess Shroob) is part of him). I'd say to just leave the Giant Bosses or whatever its called table without images. You'll probably never find the images anyway to be honest... Fawfulfury65

Ok then I'll just leave it blank then. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C)

Baby Mario Bloops

Actually, the SS and PiT articles have there tables set up that way because HP, EXP, and coins were the only stats I could find. There's like no walkthrough in the world with the rest of the stats, and I had no guide for the game. But EXP and coins would make more sense since the other stats are on the enemy's articles. Either way seems fine to me. Fawfulfury65

Um... well yeah but in the screenshot you can see that the characters are all above level 40, which is the level you need to get to to get Rainbow or Final Boss rank. So I don't see what's wrong with it. Fawfulfury65
Perhaps SGND means that the manual basically reveals these extra ranks, although they are supposed to be a secret and somewhat of a surprise. It might make for good trivia on the Rank page. Culex 18:57, 12 April 2010 (EDT)

Trivia

So does the beating game under level 17 ending work? I've heard its possible (Though its incredibly hard) but I would like some proof first (since it didn't work for me). Anyone done it yet? 22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

Well, I have not done it yet but I checked in the rom and I find the text part of the alternate endings and one say this : At theses ranks, you have bested the Dark Star... That is amazing... You have done well... Reach higher ranks... And good thing await.... So it could be the level 17 ending. Now i'm trying to do it in game to really prove that it's real. Jimbo390 03:06, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Guys, that level 17 thing is fake! If it were real, I'm sure 80 different people would have done it and posted it on youtube by now. It's not real. Fawfulfury65

I'm waiting for the 3ds to come out to see if that allows you to record like the PSP does. 22360415-149x149-0-0 ++The+SpongeBob+SquarePants+Movie.jpg Boo der dash 180px-MaskedDedede.png

A little help here?

The page is messed up because there's no end blockquote tag, but I can't edit it because apparently, I'm not autoconfirmed. (I thought I was though, I was on this wiki for way more than a week) Never mind, but I'm still not autoconfirmed, apparently. I thought I met the criteria for it, though. Copywrite Quote.

NARCE, why did you do that? Yes, it is copywrite, but we stated what it was from. Baby Mario Bloops

Yeah, and don't we have some "Fair use" thing? Fawfulfury65
Sourcing the copyrighted content that you are using does not allow its use. You need written permission in order to use any content from the manual.
As for fair use, fair use is an exception that allows for the inclusion of content based on the fact that without it, readers may be confused. I can't imagine any way where we cannot explain what happens in the game without copying the text from the manual. - NARCE 21:05, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Hope you know you could be a little less sarcastic. I was just wondering, it wasn't like "You need to put that back up! We stated where it was from!" Like I would say that. Baby Mario Bloops (talk)
There was no sarcasm in my previous post. I was explaining why we could not use the content; nothing more. - NARCE 23:05, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

This Trivia is incorrect - about optional bosses

 • This is the first Mario & Luigi game to have optional bosses.

Technically, they're optional, but you still have to face them, right? YoshiwakerTyranitar.png

Wait a minute. Two optional bosses stronger than the final boss? If I remember correctly, there is only Bowser X. Reshiram.pngSupermariofan14Zekrom.png You are right, Supermariofan14. (At least I think so) And the only un-optional boss stronger than the final one is Chakron. -User:Pinkpal P.S. I can't beleave Chakron has 9,999 HP! I guess thats from meditation. CHAKRON SMASH!!!

Isn't Dark Star X stronger than the final boss? (It's definitely harder, anyway...) It has, like 3,000 health and you can't hurt it all the time. YoshiwakerTyranitar.png
Yes, it has 3,993 HP to be exact. This trivia should either be modified or removed to avoid confusion again. I prefer too change it to "This is the first Mario & Luigi game to have bosses that can optionally be faced in battle." Fawfulfury65

I've tried about 48 times to use it against the last holder of the star cure, but i can never get to excellent. Do you need to do it within a short amount of time? I will probably never pass this stage of the game.

Sergeant Guy - Sergeant Keroro (both green) Corporal Paraplonk - Corporal Giroro (both red) Private Goomp - Private Tamama (both blue)

Is this just coincidence, or could this be a bit of trivia that could be added? --ZootyCutie 20:12, 2 January 2011 (EST)

ZootyCutie: That's actually a really good observation! I agree it should be put into trivia, but on their own pages, not on the game itself. Baby Mario Bloops (talk)
