#{{User|[Paper Plumm]}} When looking at requirements that define an article to be featured Ruddy Road not only succeeds at passing every requirement to be a featured article it excels at it. Every inch of what is in this level is covered quite thoroughly. The issue that seems to be plaguing those discontent with its status is that it is too similar in structure to other articles that are not at featured status. So, are we to raise our standards of what make a featured article solely because it's from a series of articles that are all of good quality? If say this level of quality was applied to say an area from another Mario game yet all others of it were bad would that be enough to justify it being featured status? An article does not need to shine out from the crowd for it to be considered featurable.

In terms of other points, I did not find any red links on there, and I'm not exactly sure what idea inefficient space refers to. But if I am to understand it correctly this idea stems from the large amount of space the colourless spots and ? Blocks section take up on the article. However, as they are collectibles that may be hard to see at smaller sizes a larger image size, I and I assume many others feel is necessary to be properly seen and for it to achieve its purpose, which is after to help visualise where each colourless spot and ? Block can be found in the level. Even if this idea of overuse of space is one that you feel is unwarranted, take an article like [[Nintendo Kids Space]], another of the featured array, which also features a large section of it taken up by a similar image and description section, so I assure you it is an idea that holds precedent. I also do not understand the point of repeated information; nothing is ever really reiterated within the article. If there is anything else you feel is preventing this article from keeping its space, I would more than willingly do so in order to allow that.
#{{User|Killer Moth}} Per Paper Plumm. Looked over the article and it all looked great.

Ruddy Road[edit]

Remove featured article status[edit]

  1. YoYo (talk) The page looks extraordinarily average to me, in content and length. The page basically boils down to a table of content that is similar information being repeated over and over again, and there are links that lead to pages that do not even exist on it. Space is not used efficiently here, and there are many smaller things like enemies being listed without their quantities for example. I do not believe this article at all represents the "best the Super Mario Wiki has to offer" (am I structuring this right?)
  2. OmegaRuby (talk) While it may seem like a benchmark for how the locations of 'Color Splash should be formatted, I do agree - the page is pretty average and on par with the rest of the locations of the game. It's a fine article, but not worthy of being showcased alongside the best of the best this Wiki has for readers.

Keep featured article status[edit]

  1. Paper Plumm (talk) When looking at requirements that define an article to be featured Ruddy Road not only succeeds at passing every requirement to be a featured article it excels at it. Even if this idea of overuse of space is one that you feel is unwarranted, take an article like Nintendo Kids Space, another of the featured array, which also features a large section of it taken up by a similar image and description section, so I assure you it is an idea that holds precedent. I also do not understand the point of repeated information; nothing is ever really reiterated within the article. If there is anything else you feel is preventing this article from keeping its space, I would more than willingly do so in order to allow that.
  2. Killer Moth (talk) Per Paper Plumm. Looked over the article and it all looked great.
