Ski Lift Leap is the third level of World 5 found in Yoshi's New Island. The level takes place in a snowy-hill type aspect, with a bunch of snowflakes fluttering down to the frigid ground. This level's playable Yoshi is the Light Blue Yoshi.

Layout[edit]

Light Blue Yoshi starts the level in a snowy area with some Dr. Freezegoods sliding down slopes. Shortly after, Light Blue Yoshi must Ground Pound some wooden posts in the ground to roll a snowball down a frosty hill to defeat the enemies with ease, as well as collect some coins. The snowball gets bigger and bigger as he rolls it down the chilly slope. At the bottom of the hill, Light Blue Yoshi can access a secret Warp Pipe if he pushes the giant snowball all the way down so he can use it to reach the pipe. Inside, there is a secret room where he can bounce on two Bumpties to collect a bunch of coins and a Smiley Flower. Shortly after, Yoshi encounters some Zeus Guys and some Lakitus that Light Blue Yoshi must defeat. Eventually, Light Blue Yoshi reaches the Checkpoint Ring with some Ski Lifts and some Koopa Paratroopas hovering between the gaps of the moving Ski Lifts along with the next area. Here, Light Blue Yoshi must ride on some Ski Lifts while avoiding enemies to successfully reach the Goal Ring.
