Star Steal Trap

The Star Steal Trap is an item in Super Mario Party Jamboree. It is a circular panel with a Star and "×1" printed on a purple-checkered background, and the Star variant of the 10-Coin Steal Trap. This item works similarly to the 1-Star Hex from Mario Party DS, in that the player can choose where to place it and it will steal a Star from any player who lands on it, disappearing afterwards. However, it is different in that the Star Steal Trap can be placed on any space, and it can only be placed within two spaces of the player's current location instead of five. If a player lands on the space and does not have any Stars, a message reading "There were no Stars to steal..." will appear on the screen and the Star Steal Trap will not disappear from the space it is currently on.

During the Homestretch, if Party Rules are being played, it is possible for there to be an option of all four players receiving a Star Steal Trap.
