'''Outrageous''' is the seventh level in the [[Special World]] in ''[[Super Mario World]]''. This level takes place in a wide forest, probably in autumn since the leaves of the trees are brown. It is one of the hardest levels in the game. The whole level is crowded with [[Wiggler]]s, [[Jumping Piranha Plant]]s and [[Amazing Flyin' Hammer Brother]]s. There are also numerous [[Blaster]]s that keep shooting [[Bullet Bill]]s to block [[Mario]]'s jumps. But the most dangerous enemy in Outrageous is the ''Super Mario World'' equivalent to the [[Fire Snake]] from ''[[Super Mario Bros. 3]]'': these small fireballs keep jumping in order to burn Mario, and drop tiny flames on the ground after each jump. All these enemies make this level very difficult to clear. One of the easiest ways to complete it is to play groovey so that you can get [[Yoshi]] and a cape, then load up Outrageous, use yoshi to eat the Wiggler, then ditch Yoshi, then get a running start, then fly across the level. What makes this approch tricky, is that part way through the level, the is a wall made of blocks, and if you're on the screen, you will hit the wall, and fall onto the ground because of this, you have to open the cape while offscreen.

Outrageous consists of one long screen that the player has 300 seconds on the [[Time Limit|timer]] to traverse. This level has five [[Dragon Coin]]s in it. It is crowded with [[Wiggler]]s, [[Jumping Piranha Plant]]s, and [[Amazing Flyin' Hammer Brother]]s. There are also numerous [[Bill Blaster|Turtle Cannon]]s that shoot [[Bullet Bill]]s to block [[Mario]] or [[Luigi]]'s jumps. [[Fire Snake (Super Mario World)|Fire Snake]]s are also present.

The entire level can be flown through if the player has a [[Cape Feather|cape]]. Otherwise, the player will have to first navigate through a barrage of Turtle Cannons, [[Trampoline|Jumping Board]]s, many different enemies, and a few [[Empty Block|Block]]s. Thankfully, there is a [[? Block]] that contains either a [[Super Mushroom]] or [[Fire Flower]], depending on Mario or Luigi's state. This segment of the level comes to an end once a tall orange [[Warp Pipe]] comes into view. From that point on, the player will have to deal with Amazing Flyin' Hammer Brothers and Jumping Piranha Plants in between many gaps and tall pipes. In the middle of this segment, there is a ? Outrageous is the seventh level of the Special Zone in Super Mario World. The level takes place in a dark forest, with tree trunks and a canopy of brown leaves present throughout the level.

Layout[edit]

Outrageous consists of one long screen that the player has 300 seconds on the timer to traverse. This level has five Dragon Coins in it. It is crowded with Wigglers, Jumping Piranha Plants, and Amazing Flyin' Hammer Brothers. There are also numerous Turtle Cannons that shoot Bullet Bills to block Mario or Luigi's jumps. Fire Snakes are also present.

The entire level can be flown through if the player has a cape. Otherwise, the player will have to first navigate through a barrage of Turtle Cannons, Jumping Boards, many different enemies, and a few Blocks. Thankfully, there is a ? Block that contains either a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower, depending on Mario or Luigi's state. This segment of the level comes to an end once a tall orange Warp Pipe comes into view.
