Mission[edit]
Mario must head to the west side of Rogueport to find Frankie next to a fountain. When talked to, Frankie tells Mario that he lost his Wedding Ring in Rogueport. In the Japanese version of the original game and all versions of the Nintendo Switch remake, it is found on top of the wall guarded by Gus. In versions of the original game outside of Japan, the ring is found in front of Garf's house in the easternmost area of Rogueport. He must then return the Ring to Frankie, who rewards him with a Gold Card, and the trouble is solved.
In-game description[edit]
- "I'm lookin' for somethin'. I can't say exactly what here, but I can tell you in person. I'm waitin' on da west side of Rogueport." (GCN)
- "I'm lookin' for somethin'. I can't say exactly what here, but I can tell you in person. I'll be waitin' on da west side of Rogueport. You do me this favor and I'll thank you with a Member's Card for Pianta Parlor." (Switch)
Hint (Switch exclusive)[edit]
Ian Foomus dialogue
- "I saw something round and shiny in a high-up spot within Rogueport's eastern area. It shouldn't be too far from here."
Journal
- "There's a round and shiny object sitting high up in Rogueport's east area. Seems like it's close to the Trouble Center."
Trivia[edit]
- In the Japanese version of the original game, if Frankie's trouble is cancelled before Mario collects the wedding ring, the ring will not despawn. If another trouble is taken and then the ring is collected, the ring will set a flag that is used by other troubles. This allows some troubles to be progressed simply by collecting the ring.
