World 3-Tower is the tower level of World 3 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It is the only level in the entire game to feature Amps.
Layout[edit]
This level features brightly colored rotating blocks that must be used to climb to higher locations. Rolling spiked balls, Dry Bones, and Amps are some of the hazards that must be avoided as the floor scrolls upward. Near Lemmy's door, there is a squared-shaped area with a Hidden Block containing a Penguin Suit in the center of it. The last half of this level resembles World 5-Tower from New Super Mario Bros. At the end of the tower, Lemmy Koopa is found balancing on a yellow circus ball in an icy arena behind the red doors. The player must attempt to defeat him while avoiding the circus balls that Lemmy conjures otherwise they have the risk of being pushed off the level. Lemmy also spins in his shell trying to hit the player when hit. Like most other bosses, Lemmy must be hit three times to be defeated.

To the top-right of the second rotating block, there is a hidden area with a Warp Door. After getting there by jumping from the top of the block, Mario and co. are led to an area with another rotating block, a Ball 'N' Chain, a circle of coins, and the first Star Coin. Mario and co. must jump into the block and jump up to the Star Coin while avoiding the Ball 'N' Chain.
Right near the second POW Block, the second Star Coin is to the left and blocked off by many blocks. Mario and co. must let the spiked balls destroy the blocks, use the aforementioned POW Block to get the Spike Balls out of the way, then get the Star Coin.
The third Star Coin is floating just below Lemmy's door. To get it, Mario and co. should get on the final rotating block, jump from it to the right path, then get the Star Coin while avoiding the Dry Bones. |
