World 3-3 is the third level of World 3 in Super Mario Bros. and the eleventh level overall in said game.
Layout[edit]
The player starts on a stretch of land that ends at a platform the player needs to jump onto. On the second platform is a Little Goomba that may fall onto the player if they are not careful. After the second platform are two lifts that move horizontally, followed by platforms with Koopa Troopas and a ? Block containing a power-up. Afterward is a Flimsy Lift that will descend only when the player stands on it, and it can help the player reach a higher path that ends at a Balance Lift. Standing on one Balance Lift platform will cause it to descend while the other rises, and if one reaches the top while the player is standing on the other, the balance will break and both platforms will fall. After this, there are three horizontally moving lifts followed by more platforms and a Koopa Paratroopa. Finally, there is a platform with two Koopa Troopas followed by a horizontally moving lift and a scale that can help the player reach the top of the flagpole.
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe challenges[edit]
In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, the player can collect five Red Coins, find a hidden Yoshi Egg, and get a medal based on their score. The Yoshi Egg is found in a Hidden Block above the final platform with the two Koopa Troopas, and the score to beat is 23000 (21000 in the Japanese version[1]). The Red Coin locations are:
- On the platform below the first horizontally moving lifts
- On the lower path after the falling lift
- Below the first scale. The player has to let the platform fall to reach the Red Coin
- On the platform after the Koopa Paratroopa
- On the final scale
