Uploads

Please do not upload without filling in any of the file details. Make sure the parameters under "aboutfile" are filled in, {{uncategorized}} is replaced with an image category link, and a license is selected in the drop-down menu underneath the summary box (like this).

Also, if you're trying to reupload and rename, don't do this as a separate file; instead, click on the "Upload a new version of this file" under "File history" on the existing file page (if it's the same image format), and on desktop mode, use the "move" tab at the top of the page to rename. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups: Images Audio/video files Company images Film images Game images Internet images Merchandise images Publication images System images Television series images Company media files Film media files Game media files Internet media files Merchandise media files Publication media files System media files Television series media files When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, images related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]] or one it its subcategories. Media files would use: [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Please do not create subpages if they're not drafts for planned articles and their only purpose is to change its names to something else at your own leisure. The pages were already deleted once for this reason; do not create them again. Use your main userpage for recreational edits like this (as long as they're not constant and disruptive). It's been over a year, but please recall the subpage reminder above. According to MarioWiki:Userspace:

Pages that do not serve the Super Mario Wiki (I.e. fiction, opinion pieces, polls, sign-up sheets, additional information about yourself, etc.: please restrict these sorts of user-content to your main user page. When in doubt, ask an admin, or simply err on the side of caution and do not create a new subpage.)

Sockpuppeting

Do not create alternate accounts for any reason while you still have your own account to edit from, whether to start on a clean slate or to edit under a new name.
