As I pointed out above, the "Pipe Cannon" in Airship Fortress was never referred to by name and its model name is merely "cannon". Likewise, the Tour ones are merely called "pipes" and the firing action is because the game is a gacha game and is merely used to show the new things you have acquired. As such, I recommend deleting those two sections. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 01:04, January 27, 2025 (EST)
:Delete seems... harsh. Worst comes to worst the section on the pipe would be merged into the Warp Pipe article.  So like, this is a cannon that shoots. It doesn't have to shoot, items could just come out of the pipe normally, but it shoots. So yes, this is a Pipe Cannon. But saying "It hasn't been called a pipe cannon, then it's not a pipe cannon" tracks because of Fishin' Lakitu and Pirate Guy. "x with y called x" is not the same thing as "x with y called z"
:My catch is that Super Mario Run is here. Super Mario Run does not name the pipes on the Remix 10 map at all, because it's just a doofy animation for going to the next area. Which puts this in a bind because by "x with y called x" is not the same thing as "x with y called z" logic, Super Mario Run would loose its section here. I'm personally biased toward keeping that section, and the status of both its pipe cannon and Mario Kart Tours pipe cannon are just about the same unless intra-series continuity is giving Super Mario Run an edge Mario Kart Tour does not. :: The Airship Fortress one needs to go as the model name indicates that the developers never saw it as a "Pipe Cannon". Meanwhile, I see the animation as just the "Hey, this is your new thing! Mario Kart Tour[edit]

Are we sure that the ones in Tour are indeed Pipe Cannons? Because in the game, they're just referred to as "pipes". PrincessPeachFan (talk) 08:09, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
In addition, the Nintendo DS Pocket Guide and Mario Kart 7 Prima's Strategy Guide don't refer to the one in Airship Fortress by name and the model for the Airship Fortress one is called "cannon". PrincessPeachFan (talk) 21:18, October 2, 2022 (EDT)

Deletion of Mario Kart and Tour sections[edit]

As I pointed out above, the "Pipe Cannon" in Airship Fortress was never referred to by name and its model name is merely "cannon". Likewise, the Tour ones are merely called "pipes" and the firing action is because the game is a gacha game and is merely used to show the new things you have acquired. As such, I recommend deleting those two sections. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 01:04, January 27, 2025 (EST)

Delete seems...
My catch is that Super Mario Run is here. Super Mario Run does not name the pipes on the Remix 10 map at all, because it's just a doofy animation for going to the next area. Which puts this in a bind because by "x with y called x" is not the same thing as "x with y called z" logic, Super Mario Run would loose its section here. I'm personally biased toward keeping that section, and the status of both its pipe cannon and Mario Kart Tour's pipe cannon are just about the same unless intra-series continuity is giving Super Mario Run an edge Mario Kart Tour does not. The Airship Fortress one needs to go as the model name indicates that the developers never saw it as a "Pipe Cannon". Meanwhile, I see the animation as just the "Hey, this is your new thing! Enjoy!" as part of the whole Gacha thing. We could merge Tour and Run with the Warp Pipe article. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 12:55, January 27, 2025 (EST)
