- This article is about the court in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. For the stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii U, and Ultimate, see Pirate Ship (stage). For the location in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga also referred to as the Pirate Ship, see S.S. Chuckola.
The Pirate Ship is a playable court in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. It is the third court played in the Rainbow Tourney.
The court is on a pirate ship's deck, which is always in the middle of a downpour. A board shaped like a Dry Bones' head serves as backboard. Not too far away from the boundaries, cannons periodically shoot cannonballs that roll slowly onto the court. If a character touches the cannonball, it will explode, sending everyone around it flying. Because of this, the Pirate Ship is one of the hardest courses to hold onto the ball. Gooper Blooper is also present on this course. He will try and reach out to hit the player if the player gets too near the edge of the court.
This court may be the ship in the background of Koopa Beach.
A very similar course appears in Mario Sports Mix called Ghoulish Galleon. This course features boxes that can be broken open to reveal Dry Bones, similar to how the backboards in Pirate Ship are made to model a Dry Bones' head.
