About the name[edit]
...shouldn't it be more accurately called "Cave Toad" if it's the caveman version of a Toad? ~Camwood777 11:47, 29 August 2017 (EDT)
- At this point, Toad referred to one of the four main protagonists, not yet the species. The older cartoons and comics never used Toad to refer to the species. LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:05, 29 August 2017 (EDT)
- About the current title, I disagree with it; it is still conjecture, so there is little point in using an identifier when the old name was self-explanatory and the actual Cave People from the Super Mario World cartoon are more prominent and searchable.
