Just like blocks, destroyed Normal Items block the explosion, which makes it safe for the player to hide behind them. Upon collecting an item, the player recieves a certain ability. Normal Items disappear after finishing the level. During first seven boss battles, these items can be found lying on the ground. If the player or the opponents get blown up, the Normal Items they picked up on the level will be randomly scattered across the level on empty tiles.

Bomberman using Normal Items

Normal Items[1] are a type of item in Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman!, like Special Items. They can appear after blowing up blocks. Normal Items can be picked up by players and opponents and destroyed with a bomb. Destroyed Normal Items can be used as makeshift barriers against explosions, as the player can hide behind them. Normal Items are obtainable only in the first seven rounds, and they disappear after finishing the level. Normal Items randomly scatter across the level on empty tiles if either the player or their opponents are hit by an explosion. Normal Items do not appear in Round 8.

There are three types of Normal Items, with a different ability:

  • Explosion Expander, which increases the explosion range.
  • Extra Bomb, which increases how many bombs can be replaced at once.
  • Skull, which provides a random negative effect.
