Coin Express,[1] or World 5-Train, is a bonus level, found in World 5 of Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. It can be located by finding a Warp Pipe on the map in front of King Ka-thunk's Castle. When the player comes out of that pipe, there are two Warp Pipes, the top of which leads to the bonus level. This level is conceptually similar to the Treasure Ship from Super Mario Bros. 3, being an auto-scrolling level filled with coins, coin piles, Gold Rings, and Gold Shells. If the player loses a life in this level or clears the level, they cannot play it again immediately. Instead, they have to play 25 more levels to be able to play it again.

The music is the rearrangement of Super Mario Bros.'s Ground Theme from Super Mario 3D Land.

Layout[edit]

The level starts on a platform with a train nearby. The player is required to board the golden train to grab some coin piles and a nearby Gold Shell, with some Gold Rings in the distance. After some more coins and coin piles, the player reaches the end of the level where a pipe is found. The player can also find a crevice that hides a P Switch Captain Toad is standing in front of, revealing more coins, as well as hidden coins in front of the train's engine. The pipe takes the player to a slot machine game, which ends the level. As with the Bullet Bill Express and the Bowser Express, the level's camera moves on its own, and if the player does not get on the train in time, they are left behind and lose a life.
