Fair use cover |
This image is of a copyrighted music album or single cover and/or supplemental material (as in compact disc inserts), and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the album or the artist(s) which produced the music or artwork in question. It is believed that the use of a limited number of web-resolution images of album or single covers solely to illustrate the album or single in question, or the artist that recorded the album or single, or a song that appeared on the album or single qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law, as such display does not significantly impede the right of the copyright holder to sell the copyrighted material, is not being used to turn a profit in this context, and presents ideas that cannot be exhibited otherwise. See Wikipedia:Copyrights and fair use rationale. |
