Take a Stab is a Rhythm minigame in Super Mario Party. Its name is a pun on a phrase that means "to try."

Gameplay[edit]

Players have to stab fruit that Lakitus throw at just the right time to the beat of a tropical/island-themed song. Stabbing a fruit early or late earns the player one point, while stabbing it at the right time (indicated by "Nice!") earns the player three points. Two Galoombas appear on the sides, jumping when every player gets a "Nice!" result at the same time. Whoever has the most points at the end of the minigame wins.
