Name in Brawl[edit]
Does it matter what order the characters come in or where they come in that determines the name on the stage? Why Bother (talk)
- No, I think it's random. Mario4Ever (talk)
Brawl Stage[edit]
Shouldn't the PictoChat stage have a separate page as well as being mentioned here? I mean, PictoChat 2 has its own page, so I see no considerable reason why the SSBB stage shouldn't have a page too. TheDisneyGamer 12:01, 22 April 2017 (EDT)

Does PictoChat itself really warrant an article? It seems to me that this should just be trimmed down to the Smash stage. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 12:35, November 30, 2020 (EST)

- We don't have articles for other system services like this, so I guess not. Nightwicked Bowser
- Partially: What I would like to do is split the service and the Super Smash Bros. Brawl stage into two articles so it could deliver an easier topic for the two pages. I don't really want to delete the PictoChat service because of the trivia reference about Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi. Any ideas? Benjaminkirsc (talk) 13:40, November 30, 2020 (EST)

Okay, so we are going to a point that we should have a proposal about keeping the PictoChat service, or if we need to redirect it (partially or fully). If anyone doesn't know the guidelines, this is what I am talking about.
Fully redirect: Everything mentioned is required to be redirected.
Partial redirect: Some content mentioned is required to get redirected: Examples include the overview, the trivia, etc.
Keep it: Leave the article alone

Full Redirect[edit]
- Benjaminkirsc (talk): I propose to redirect to Nintendo DS article section titled PictoChat.
- Ninja Squid (talk): Per proposal. A simple redirect to the DS article, while keeping only the Super Smash Bros. coverage seems to be the best action overall.
- Waluigi Time (talk) Apparently this is the option that was agreed upon in the above discussion.
- DarkNight (talk) Per all.
Partial Redirect[edit]
- Ray Trace (talk) I feel like we should keep an overview on what PictoChat is based off of in the intro with basic information pertaining to it, but sure, the extended coverage in the "Using PictoChat" section should be merged with both the intro of the article and part of the Nintendo DS article, which this article should link to in its "article about" segment on the top.

I'm confused here, what's the difference between "redirect all mentions" and "redirect part of the mentions"? -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 12:21, December 5, 2020 (EST)
- @Waluigi Time, redirect all mentions means all of the mentioned content of the service will get redirected, and redirect part of the mentions means some of the content will get redirected. Benjaminkirsc (talk) 13:36, December 5, 2020 (EST)

- Partial redirect partially removes some information that may not be needed from the page
Since this reaction of getting into confusion, I have to merge the "full redirect" and "partial redirect" into "redirect" to make it easier for people to vote. Deal or do you want the split it again? - So if "full redirect" removes all non-Smash content from this page, what does "partial redirect" do? You already mentioned the overview and trivia would be moved under a partial redirect, does the "Using PictoChat" section also get moved in a partial redirect? If so, both options do exactly the same thing. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 16:49, December 6, 2020 (EST)
- @Waluigi Time, Did you read what I wrote clearly? If you want me to make the opinions more clear, fine. Then if you want to say "All I want is to have the page trimmed to solely focus on the Brawl stage" I would like for you to say that you want to redirect all of the PictoChat services mentions to the Nintendo DS article. Also, examples for the "some" part include the overview, the trivia, etc (I put it up there so it could be easier to read). If you are still confused, we can talk about it on my talk page. Beforehand, I'll clean up this proposal here. Benjaminkirsc (talk) 15:02, December 6, 2020 (EST)
