== Chess pieces? == | |||
This is a stupid and trivial thing to obsess over, but this article uses a specific object comparison ("chess pieces") to refer to the sizes of the cast. It's also used in Bowser's article at one point (at least according to a Discord post I made about it in June 2023), and it's in [[History of Princess Peach]] if I'm wrong about Bowser). Yes, this question arose from a BJAODN entry[https://www.mariowiki.com/MarioWiki:BJAODN/Files_and_galleries#Gallery:Mario_Party_DS] using potato chips as the size reference and I was wondering "was this because the game referred to chess pieces at one point and then used 'potato chips' as inspiration?". But turns out, I'm not seeing any analogies to chess pieces in the box art, the manual, or in the game. Was this a MarioWiki invention or did Mario Party DS ever use that frame of reference in its promotional material? {{User:Mario/sig}} 18:48, September 13, 2024 (EDT) |

On the board or in a mini-game? Board = yes. Mini-game = no.Knife (talk) 14:13, 19 August 2007 (EDT)
Um... what about the Minigame with that ham or whatever on the grill, or that one with the Giant Goombas, or the one with the giant pens... Max2 (talk) Woodya like me to go on?
Every minigame ive played has to do with them being tiny.
Story[edit]
I found this story somewhere, then I saw it pop up on Wikipeida, but I forget where I saw it before Wikipedia:
The game begins with a peaceful day in the Mushroom Kingdom. However, King Bowser invites everyone to Peach's castle. They accept the invite and go to the castle. There, Bowser shrinks Mario and friends to the size of chess pieces. Mario and friends must gather the power of the stars to restore themselves to normal size and defeat Bowser.
I'm not sure if it is the real story right now, could someone confirm it for me? ~Uniju(T-C-E)
Judging by the images and minigames and such, it seems logical. Max2 (talk)
Yeah, did you even seen the one with the giant shy guy and some rolling thing!Mr. Guy the Guy Talk!
Hah, I just got done playing that minigame. Its a 3 on 1 minigame, where someone rolls a big thing of meat, and 3 other players have to not fall off.
Yes, Bowser & Bowser JR invite everyone to the castle for dinner, then bowser captures them and shrinks them. Pirhana board is the first one.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection[edit]
The Boxart doesn't have the Wi-Fi Connection logo. Does this mean the game does not have Wi-Fi Connection? My Bloody Valentine
I dunno. Not everygame has to have Wi-Fi, you know. Max2 (talk)
- ...Er, I know that. I was asking that, because the article says it has Wi-Fi Connection, but the Box art says a differant story. No need to treat me like I'm a stereotype. My Bloody Valentine
