Mini Donkey Kong[1] is a small Kong who makes an appearance in the Game & Watch version of Donkey Kong. Although he is not directly involved in gameplay, he appears when the system's alarm goes off, jumping and ringing a bell (he is located on the lower screen, under the difficulty indicators). Mini Donkey Kong can be seen as a predecessor to Donkey Kong Jr., who would make his debut later that year in his own arcade game. Because the Game & Watch Gallery series does not recreate the alarm feature of the Game & Watch games, Mini Donkey Kong does not appear in Game & Watch Gallery 2, but in Game & Watch Gallery 4, he appears in the starting sequence of the credits. However, the feature was reintroduced in Game & Watch Collection, so Mini Donkey Kong appears in that game's remake of Donkey Kong.
