End-of-the-Year Awards

It's that time of the year again, the time of celebration! Here, we honor the writers, staff, and contributors who have done their part to help make The 'Shroom of 2018 what it was, whose devotion to the newsletter allowed it to excel and evolve above and beyond across the 12-month span! As in previous years, the awards are split into Diamond and Golden awards for all except the Toad Award; Diamond awards are for exceptional performance in each category, while Golden awards are for those who didn't quite reach the top of the mountain but did a very good job getting close. This one's for the readers! Same as last year, we have six categories to go through:

• Diamond and Golden Mario Award – Given to those who have written a single section for The 'Shroom for a prolonged period of time, displaying consistent devotion to The 'Shroom.
• Diamond and Golden Bowser Award – Given to those who consistently submit their sections on time, displaying responsibility and good time management.
• Diamond and Golden Peach Award – Given to those who consistently produce sections of excellent quality as decided by the general public (Section of the Month), displaying a dedication to the subject matter of their respective sections and a desire to bring the best out of them.
• Diamond and Golden Yoshi Award – Given to those that have contributed many sections to the paper, displaying a willingness to test ones capabilities and spread their influence across The 'Shroom.
• Diamond Toad Award – Given to those that have helped out The 'Shroom in extraordinary ways, honoring those who may have had smaller, possibly behind-the-scenes, roles to play, that were nonetheless important to the development of The 'Shroom.
• Diamond and Golden 'Shroom Award – Given to the individuals that produced the best sections in 2018, as decided on by the Core Staff.

Given to those who have been writing for The 'Shroom for a long time in 2018.

Given to those who generally submit their section(s) to the staff in a timely manner.

	Diamond	Given to those who have submitted at least ten sections to the staff and have submitted their sections by the deadline at least 90% of the time.
	Golden	Given to those who have submitted at least five sections to the staff and have submitted their sections by the deadline at least 80% of the time.
