Body Check is an ability in the Super Mario Stadium series. It is used by Bowser, Toad, Wario, Birdo, Bowser Jr., Petey Piranha, and Hammer Bro in Mario Superstar Baseball and by any character in Mario Super Sluggers except Blooper, Boo, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Monty Mole. In Mario Superstar Baseball, by rapidly pressing , the runner can tackle a baseman, knocking the ball out of their hands and making the user safe. The action was made automatic in Mario Super Sluggers, where it occurs right after a close play by pressing the correct button.
