Big Bounce Byway (High Bounce Highlands in the British English Wii U version), also named World 4-4, is the fourth level in World 4 of Super Mario 3D World and its Nintendo Switch port Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. The player gains access to it by beating Brolder Blockade, and completion of either this level or Beep Block Skyway unlocks Spike's Lost City.
Layout[edit]
The level is set in a grassy mountain area. The first portion of the course is filled with Mushroom Trampolines and enemies like Biddybuds and Spinies, as well as the Checkpoint Flag. Following it there is a giant elastic platform that moves slowly across the sky to the Warp Box that leads to the Goal Pole area, an isolated piece of land with a few Hop-Chops.
Collectibles[edit]
Green Stars[edit]
- Green Star 1: The first Green Star is in plain sight inside a hole in the wall near a group of Hop-Chops at the start of the level. The player can use a Hop-Chop as a Springboard to get there, or alternatively climb the wall with a Cat suit.
- Green Star 2: After the stairs near the Checkpoint Flag, players can use a Springboard or the Cat power to reach two Mushroom Trampolines with a Green Star above them.
- Green Star 3: The character must enter the Mystery Box near the big bouncing platform. Inside it, they can use a Hop-Chop or the Cat transformation to climb a fence and get the Green Star.
