Windblown Wilderness is the third level of World 2 in Yoshi's Island DS. It is the first level of the game set in a Wild West-type background. As the name suggests, the level focuses mainly on Baby Peach's ability to float on winds. This level's playable Yoshi is the light-blue Yoshi.

Layout[edit]

Yoshi starts the level near some Countdown Platforms that disappear if he stands on them for an amount of time. After traversing past some more Countdown Platforms and balloons that can sustain Yoshi's weight, the player reaches the next area. The area begins with a Middle Ring and a Stork Stop, followed by some wind gusts which must be used by Baby Peach to enter the next area. A Middle Ring awaits, followed by an enemy filled area where the player must use the wind gusts and the Countdown Platforms to advance. Yoshi must now use the wind gusts and climb up some platforms to reach the last area. Here, the player must traverse some wind gusts to reach the goal roulette.

There is a kangaroo segment after the second Middle Ring.
