I don't think this article should be merged with Car. Firstly, it's about a bus, and the bus has a company's logo, making it not so...generic. --Lemonface

This bus (not a car) has its logo on the sides and the front, so this is its name. The Red Car and Blue Car could be merged with Car since they're just generic cars, but this has an actual name, making it different from "generic". — Stooben Rooben

Organise the Bus articles

This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal.

I think something needs to be done about all of these articles for buses in the Mario Kart series. As well as this article, there is Red Bus and Blue Bus, which all are very generic, and two of these have rewrite-expand templates on them, which need sorting out. I've also noticed that there are articles for these buses, yet none for the buses in Toad's Turnpike, which I think also need to be covered. I'll also add now, I think we should keep the Wiggler Bus separate, as it is a very different bus to these other four. There are a few ways I think we could go about this:

1. Merge all of the articles onto the Bus redirect page, include an article-about for other types of buses, and expand to include Toad's Turnpike buses. This is my preferred option, and given as all of the buses have roughly the same function, this seems like the best idea. Minor differences can be described in each game's buses section, and it sets us up well for any further Mario Kart series buses
2. Merge the two Mario Kart: Double Dash!! buses, and create an article for the Toad's Turnpike buses. The two Double Dash buses are almost identical, bar textures (I'm almost certain the models are the same), so they should go together. This would keep all of the other buses separate by games though.
3. Clean up the current pages, and create an article for the Toad's Turnpike buses. This just the general improvement option, and I see this as the basic clean up, but I don't really think this will help very much.
4. Do nothing. So basically, leaving as is, but potentially cleaning up the rewrite-expand articles.

If the first option succeeds, it should really just be moved to "Bus", since the existing disambiguation page lists those four buses, and we have no need for it anyway when {{about}} or a brief mention on the article takes care of that. Mario JC 04:39, 16 October 2017 (EDT)

OK, I'll do that! I wasn't entirely sure what to do regarding that, but I was going to sort out that template anyway. I'll convert the current articles to redirects and fix as many links as possible, while moving the information to the new article. I think if that option wins, which is looking most likely at the moment, I'll go for an almost complete rewrite, as all of the buses generally serve the same purpose. The top paragraph will state the function, and then further sections will describe the changes in appearance and courses that it appears in throughout the series, and any function changes.
