This level takes place on a skymountain.. At the beginning of the level, Mario is standing on a platform slightly higher than the one coming after it, meaning that it is not necessary to jump to reach it if the player runs. Then they will quickly face a Bill Blaster which doesn't fire normal Bullet Bills since these ones aim on their targets. Several other Bill Blasters follow up and still fire Bull's-Eye Bills, and Koopa Troopas are being added into the mix. Later, a warp pipe can be seen above a bottomless pit. If the player goes through it, they will be transported into a maze with Brick Blocks and the first Star Coin, and a P-Switch: The player will have to press it and go through the maze as fast as they can. A similar area is in another warp pipe above the normal path. Then comes the final section, in which the ground is absent, as are the Bill Blasters, but a new type of Bull's-Eye Bill known as the King Bill is shot out of nowhere this time, and only moving platforms serve as ground. The last Star Coin is on the way, and it requires to bounce on a King Bill to get it. Then the Flagpole can be seen.

World 9-3 is the third level of World 9 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It is unlocked by collecting all the Star Coins from World 3. Featuring Missile Bills and their larger counterparts, this course uses the background from World 6 and plays the ground theme. Like all levels in World 9, there is no midway point.

Layout[edit]

This level takes place on a sky mountain. Mario and co. quickly encounter a Bill Blaster which fires Missile Bills, which are capable of homing in on targets. Several Bill Blasters follow up which also fire Missile Bills, along with a number Koopa Troopas. A Warp Pipe can be seen above a pit, which leads to a maze with bricks, a P Switch and the first Star Coin. The player has to press the P Switch and navigate the maze as fast as possible to collect the Star Coin. The second Star Coin is located in a bonus area, accessible via a Warp Pipe above the main path. The final section contains moving platforms over a pit, with a new type of Missile Bill known as the Bull's-Eye Banzai being shot from off screen. The last Star Coin is on the way to the pole.

Trivia[edit]

 • Although the Bull's-Eye Banzai appears in this level, it is never seen being fired from a Banzai Bill Cannon, instead being fired from off screen.
 • The Prima game guide's map shows the goal on a ledge after the Bull's-Eye Banzai, although in the actual game a Warp Pipe takes the Bull's-Eye Banzai's place.[1]
