Giant Snakes are enemies found in Wario Land 3 from the Wario Land series. Snakes are summoned in several levels after the player discovers the flute found in The Stagnant Swamp. These snakes live in big jars, and attack by spitting fire at Wario, which turns him into Flaming Wario. Wario can use these creatures as platforms to reach higher areas, as well as exploit their attacks in order to break fire blocks and proceed. Giant Snakes are invincible, since none of Wario's attacks succeed in defeating them (a ground pound on their heads merely make them retract into their jars and nothing more). However, if Wario opens a chest in the presence of a snake, the monster instantly vanishes, just like any other enemy or object found beside that chest. This can be seen when the player unlocks the blue chest in The East Crater, as there is a Giant Snake nearby.

Snakes,[1][2][3][4] also called snakes heads,[5] vipers,[6] and serpents,[6] are enemies in Wario Land 3. They emerge from pots bearing the image of a snake's head only after the Flute from The Stagnant Swamp's Gray Chest is acquired; the Flute plays a tune that causes them to emerge. A snake raises its body from a pot, and when its head reaches the highest point, it breathes fire on the ground, where exposure to the flames turns Wario into Hot Wario. Wario can also jump on snakes' heads to use them as platforms to reach higher areas, or to smash-attack their heads to retract them sooner. They are otherwise invincible, though opening a nearby treasure chest can technically defeat them. When the Gray Chest is first acquired, snakes are seen emerging from pots in The Peaceful Village, The Volcano's Base, and The Grasslands, with one appearing in each level. Snakes also appear in The Colossal Hole and The East Crater, where there are eight and two of them, respectively.
