| In ''[[Paper Mario]]'', Mario's partner [[Kooper]] is a blue shelled Koopa. Also in ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]'' if Mario or Luigi wears a blue shell they can retract into the shell and slide around in it and their swimming ability is increased.
