Luigi starts on a platform as he watches Bowser Jr. slam down on a bone platform in his [[Junior Clown Car]], and he will continuously do this throughout the level. It sinks, then the level starts. Two Magmaws are in the lava. A Red Ring appears, and after three bone platforms, the first Star Coin appears. Multiple bone platforms appear after that, along with the third Star Coin. Then, a door appears. This leads to Bowser's door.

Luigi must work his way through the hall. He will encounter Bowser. Luigi must hit the [[! Switch]] on the other side of Bowser. He will fall, and Luigi will progress in saving [[Princess Peach]]. Meanwhile, [[Kamek]] (assisted by Bowser Jr.) puts a spell on Bowser, which makes him huge. Luigi will make his way up stairs, and notice Princess Peach in a tower. She will call for Luigi, but bars will trap her, along with a wall covering the window with the Bowser Jr. logo. Bowser Jr. comes up, laughs at Luigi, then flies up to allow the gigantic Bowser to hop up.

The Final Battle, or Peach's Castle-The Icon of Princess Peach's Castle from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.2, is the final course of Peach's Castle in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked by completing Current Event and its own completion unlocks Superstar Road and the Secret Island. This is the only level in the game that shares the same name with its New Super Mario Bros. U counterpart.

Layout[edit]

Luigi starts on a platform as he watches Bowser Jr. slam down on a bone platform in his Junior Clown Car, and he continuously does this throughout the level. The bone platform then sinks, then the level starts. Two Magmaws are in the lava. A Red Ring follows, and after three bone platforms, the first Star Coin is then found. Multiple bone platforms appear after that, along with two Magmaws. A row of ? Blocks are then found, followed by another row of bone platforms. Then, a door appears. This leads to the green doors. Entering the green doors gives Luigi an extra 250 seconds.

Luigi must work his way through the corridor, with Bowser's fireballs coming from offscreen. Luigi then faces Bowser. Luigi must hit the ! Switch on the other side of Bowser, causing him to fall.   • Star Coin 1: Below some Brick Blocks, Luigi must use Bowser Jr. to slam down and break them. Then, Luigi must wall kick to grab the Star Coin and avoid falling in the lava.
  • Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is located below several ? Blocks containing 1-Up Mushrooms. Use Bowser Jr. to slam down and destroy some, accessing the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 3: Near the door which leads to the Bowser door, Luigi must wait on the third bone platform. As it goes down, Luigi will collect the third Star Coin.
