The Podoboo Orb is an item found in the Mario Party series, containing the Super Mario enemy Podoboo. It first appears in Mario Party 5 under the name of Bubble Capsule, where it can be thrown to a space on the board, or used on the player for ten coins. Its effect is to catch the player on fire and bounce them forward ten spaces. The only downsides are that the player also loses any other capsules they may have had, they cannot control the direction that they go in if they approach a junction, and all board events (including Capsule Machines and Star Spaces) are ignored[1]. If a player is under the effects of this capsule when approaching a shortbread bridge on Sweet Dream, the bridge will not break upon crossing it.
In Mario Party 6, it is renamed the Podoboo Orb. It costs five coins at the Orb Shop. Opponents that pass over a space containing the Orb summon Podoboos that immediately attack them, causing a loss of ten coins.
In Mario Party 7, the Spiny Orb takes the function of the Podoboo Orb.
