The Bullet Bill Express, or World 3-Train, is the first train level of Super Mario 3D World and its Nintendo Switch port Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, and the eighth and penultimate course in World 3. It is unlocked via completing Switchboard Falls, and its own completion frees the blue Sprixie Princess who builds a Clear Pipe to A Banquet with Hisstocrat. This level autoscrolls.
Layout[edit]
The level starts on a platform with some ? Blocks nearby. The player must hop on the nearby train and avoid some nearby Flopters, Cat Bullet Bills, and a Goomba Tower in order to reach a secret block containing a Mega Mushroom. Cat Banzai Bills now start to spawn from the parallel train, and can be used to destroy some nearby Crates. If the player times some jumps on the Cat Bullet Bills with a Tanooki Suit, the player can reach a segment of the train with eight crates. Seven of the crates contain single coins, but one contains a 1-Up Mushroom. Two Fire Bros. appear soon after followed by a nearby Warp Pipe which leads to the boss of the level, Pom Pom. After the player defeats Pom Pom, a nearby Warp Box transports them to an area with a + Clock, a Goal Pole, and a blue Sprixie Princess. After leaving the platform at the beginning, the train speeds up quite quickly, and if the player chooses not to board the train, they will lose a life due to not following the level's auto-scroll.
Green Stars[edit]
- Green Star 1: Seen at the very beginning, the first Green Star is on the edge of the caboose.
- Green Star 2: The second Green Star is held captive by a Goomba Tower.
- Green Star 3: There is a Warp Pipe on a flatbed railcar that takes the player to the other train where Captain Toad is trapped inside a crate. When freed, Captain Toad rewards the player the green star.

Luigi sightings[edit]
In the opening cutscene where the character(s) are seen getting into a cannon and blasting onto the train, a faint 8-bit Luigi can be seen outrunning the train on the far right.
