World 2 in New Super Mario Bros. was a desert, like Desert Land. Mario and Luigi crossed this hot desert on their adventure. The second Bowser Jr. was fought here.
Mummipokey was located at the end of the desert. If Mario or Luigi defeated him they would go to World 3 however if Mini Mario or Mini Luigi defeated him they would go to World 4.
