Template:MLinfobox A Paratroopea is a winged Troopea. They have only been seen in the Beanbean Kingdom in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. They resemble Paratroopas, only they are four-footed and have sprouts on the tops of their heads. Their main attack consists in swooping down at Mario or Luigi, but the plumbers can easily dodge it by watching the Paratroopea's shadow on the floor and jumping. Paratroopeas are able to heal other enemies by spitting in the air and letting it land on the injured. When Paratroopeas take enough damage, they will lose their wings and become regular Troopeas. If the Paratroopea dips a little before flying into the sky, it will target Luigi. If not, its target will be Mario.

A stronger version of Paratroopeas appear when the Bros. reach a farther level into Joke's End; they are called Scaratroopea and have orange shells.
