The Red Paragoomba is a sub-species of Paragoomba first identified in Super Mario Bros. 3. They later appeared in its remake and Super Princess Peach. They are reddish-brown in color, and can be defeated by jumping on their head; they will then shed their wings.
History
Super Mario Bros. 3
In this game, Red Paragoombas were a weak form of Paragoombas. They hopped along the ground, attempting to run into Mario.
Super Princess Peach
Red Paragoombas served the same purpose in this game. A sub-species, called Mad Red Paragoomba, also appeared. This species could cling to walls, allowing them to walk across high ledges without falling off the edge.
