Like their relatives, they are impervious to all kinds of direct attacks. Dark Shlurps walk slowly around the rooms of the Pit, sucking up and swallowing whatever gets in their way. If Mario gets too close to a Dark Shlurp, it will suck him up and spit him out, causing damage in the process. The only way to defeat these enemies is to get them to swallow Boomer three times, though they can be picked up with Thoreau and used to attack other enemies.
