Super Mario Chess Game: Nintendo Collector's Edition is a Mario series-themed chess set released by USAopoly in September of 2009. The rules of the game are the same as defined by the original game.

There are 32 hand-painted characters taking the place of the various pieces: Mario as the King, Luigi as the Queen, Princess Peach and Princess Daisy as Bishops, Yoshi as the Knight, Toad as the Rook, Coins as Pawns. For the opposing side, Bowser is the King, Bowser Jr. the Queen, Kamek or a general Magikoopa the Bishop, Birdo the Knight, a Goomba the Rook, and Koopa Shells as Pawns. The pieces measure 3-inches tall x 11-inches wide x 11-inches long.
