Ground Pound is a one-player mini-game found in Mario Party. Before the game starts, the player has to look carefully at the pegs before the butterflies cover the tops. Ground Pound all the pegs with the flat tops to win. Ground Pounding the pegs with a pointy top caused the player to lose time (and gave them pain). Sometimes, the butterflies do not cover the pegs up completely, giving a better advantage for the player.
Trivia
- Ground Pound in Mario Party and Mario Party 2, was called Hip Drop. This was called the 'Ground pound' in the later Mario games.
