This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.
Slipsand Galaxy is a galaxy in the game Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is located in World 5. The level is desert-themed and features desert objects such as cacti. Fast moving sand rapids and fireballs are the main obstacles in the level. A pyramid can be seen in the background. Dry Bones, Magikoopas and Pokey Sprouts are common enemies in this galaxy. The Fire Flower reappears in this galaxy and is used in the boss battle against Squizzard. At one point, Mario will need to avoid some Spindels while sliding down sand.
Planets and Areas
Starting Planet
This is a long, tubular planet with a fast sand current. This current will push Mario forward of backward, respectively. Dry Bones appear here, along with a pipe to a secret area with a 1-Up coin minigame.
Launch Star Planet
This is just a small round planet with a Launch Star.
Shifting Block Planet
Another small planet, this one rectangular. It includes many hard, black blocks that shift with the sand current. There are some coins here as well.
Twisty Planet
This planet is a bunch of twists and turns of sand. Bird enimies appear here, along with the Comet Medal.
Missions
Squizzard's Sandy Sinkhole
Mario must avoid fireballs to reach a launch star. He must get through quickly moving sand. After this Mario (or Luigi) must avoid a series of Spindels. Finally he is sent to the arena were he is to fight Squizzard.
Sailing the Sandy Seas
Mario must use a launch star to board a strange ship. This ship is made of blocks that are destroyed by cacti and Magikoopa beams. These blocks will ressurect, however, after some time. Mario must last for a while on this ship, while he avoids cacti, Magikoopas, and one Incoming Chomp. If he can get to the end wihtout falling in the sand, the player will be given a Power Star.
Squizzard's Daredevil Run
This is the level's Prankster Comet. It is a harder boss fight against Squizzard, this time with only 1 life. He must be flamed three times, instead of four, to deafeat.
