Fred is a Bob-omb that lives in Fahr Outpost in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Goombella says that all Freds are freaky, however she says this Fred is not freaky and she's surprised. Later on, when Mario comes back with General White, he along with Rob helps the General operate the rocket which fires Mario to the moon.
