An Eggplant Man is a metallic mask-wearing eggplant. It runs around aimlessly on its skinny legs.
Wrecking Crew (NES 1985)
Eggplant Men first appear on the second stage of the construction site. An Eggplant Man runs around in a predictable pattern - it will run straight until it hits a Dead-End Drum and has to turn around. It will climb up/down any ladder it comes across in it's path. If both a ladder up and a ladder down are in it's path, it will go down if moving left, and up if moving right.
Wrecking Crew '98 (Super Famicom 1998)
In this modern update, Eggplant Man is the second challenger in puzzle mode. It also appears in the original game on the same cart.

Melee | File:Eggplantman.jpg | Eggplant Man debuted as an enemy in the NES game Wrecking Crew. Even though his movement pattern was very simple, he was a fairly formidable foe, since Mario and Luigi had limited means of attack. You could beat this enemy by dropping a Dead-End Drum on him or by trapping him behind a door and blowing up the room. |
