Paragloombas are simply the winged versions of Gloombas, and as such are found primarily in dark, dank areas like Toad Town Tunnels. If Mario or Goombario hit a Paragloomba with a Jump or headbonk attack they will turn into a Gloomba. It is also found in Rogueport Sewers in the Pit of 100 Trials. This is the only place where they appear in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. The name Gloomba is a pun on the name "Goomba" and the word "Gloom". Strangely enough, Goombella erroneously says that it's like a stronger version of a Parakoopa, rather than a Paragoomba.
